I found this hidden treasure on Amazon and I am so glad I pressed 'play'. Both thrilling and thought provoking, the plot line, social commentary and brilliant cast - especcially the lead actress - kept me hooked right till the final scenes, including an unexpected twist and cameo from the always excellent Nicky Evans. Hugely impressive effort, considering that it was made during the pandemic and how much work the director took on personally! I really enjoyed this directors work and I look forward to future releases from David Stuart Snell. 'I Bring Joy' is a must watch and that's the most important thing I have to say.

Such a great film. I love a decent thriller. I only after reading the synopsis realised the film was an indie film. You'd not know this watching the lead. She's brilliant. The story and writing is on spot too. This is one of the best hidden gems on Amzon Prime for sure. Look forward to more from the director and the lead in the years to come. The London late night scenes will ring true to anyone whom has ever lives or stayed in London. Its very much a buzzing city. And there is a lot of urban around. I Can't rally compare this film. But if you like a good dark thriller. You'll be pleased with this. And for anyone who works in the arts industry in London. This film will speak with yous. Great watch.

This is a film that is both entertaining and disturbing in equal measure. First the entertainment, it's an original story that has a strong script, is well acted and directed, it keeps you guessing where the director is taking you right up until the last scene, the suspense is genuine and palpable. The disturbing bit, all through this film there is an undercurrent of darkness that gives the viewer a sense of unease. The director manages to close the film with a shocking and disturbing scene, that is not gratuitous but justified. It is this darkness that made this viewer feel uneasy and question how far a human can be pushed beyond the norm of rational behaviour. Visually, it is really well shot and produced, especially when you consider that it is predominately the effort of one person....the director.

This film is a compelling psychological thriller that captivates with its exploration of dark themes and a complex lead character. The director skillfully combines elements of crime, personal trauma, and societal commentary, making it a thought-provoking watch with an atmospheric London backdrop. The performances, especially by the lead , are great, complemented by the film's mood and a fantastic score. Really loved the music, it stayed with me after the film and really sets the tone. I know the director made this movie virtually single- handed , but this doesn't take away from the film in any way. It's a real testament to his can do attitude to get the film made by any means necessary. A must-watch for fans of thrillers that delve deep into the human psyche.

Set against the backdrop of her boyfriend's fatal stabbing in North London (and featuring Top Boy's George Owusu-Afriyse) the film charts the journey of the ironically named main protagonist 'Joy' in her journey of revenge and ultimate redemption. Paying homage to the grainy style and novel use of technology of Lynda le Plante's slasher 'Killer Net'' it draws such devices as the mirror scenes from Taxi Driver and The Shining to give us a glimpse into Joy's broken psyche and her battle with her conscience as the film progresses. Subverting the traditional dichotomies of good/evil and hero/anti-hero, the film contains the types of subplots and unexpected twists that will keep you enthralled even after the film has ended.
