After reading the reviews I didn't think it would be that good, but it was such a creative innovative idea that I just had to give it a try and boy am I glad I did. This movie was not just creative and innovative but it was freaking hilarious! I was belly laughing a lot throughout the whole entire thing. There's some really serious humor in it that is very different humor than I've ever seen before. And more killing than I expected too. But this is a very smart movie with some interesting things to say. I hope you will give it a chance with an open mind.

First 30 minutes seems okay? Seems kinda funny. Then she half-accidentally, half-purposefully, 100% painfully and dumb-ly kills her friend. In a way that trashes the whole experience. Just skip it. Spend 86 minutes staring at drywall instead.

Creep, Creep 2, and now we have Creep 3. From the moment the first scene started, there's only three words that enraptured the feeling of this movie: w, t, and f. It's a unique and unbelievable dark comedy horror that opened my jaw scenes to scenes. On the surface, it's about a desperate indie filmmaker, and underneath that was a political and social commentary on multiple aspects of society. Although some commentary didn't land, the overall concept was incredibly clever. I was blown away from the very start, and when the credits rolled up I realized that the director/writer just outright pointed fingers at the audiences. By now it's clear that I love this movie. However, the movie made me feel stupid and fake, in a good way, because of I like this movie then I become the very problem that the director was aiming at. What a disturbing and also bizarre experience. The footage-style and extremely weird and crooked acting from the main actor just elevated the creepiness of this movie. This led to a slight negative that the footage was too smooth and high quality for a footage. Overall, Promising Young Woman. 9.5/10.

If the purpose of a film is to get you to loathe the main character, then this is for you! Self-absorption is the name of the game here. Narcissism at its most venal and ridiculous. Still, though, it's pretty good.

Not just the character, but real crazy. Worst movie I have ever seen.

Wanted to like it. However they tried to go the extra miles on some parts where they really shouldn't have, like adding in some really dumb effects in places where it would have been better without. The main plot just needed something extra. I get the main character was a bad person but they didn't really have any likable qualities for me to want to watch them and it didn't really feel like found footage either. I just wanted to the whole thing to be over. The end was just so lazy and predictable.

A truly entertaining story about a woman who is determined to follow her dream and will drive across your lawn to do it, if necessary. Humor abounds as she struggles to make an indie movie while dealing with numerous relationship issues and career obstacles. I Blame Society is one of those rare movies that succeeds when a screenwriter also directs the production. In part this is due to a clever plot and well-paced tempo. Even when characters are just sitting and talking to each other, the dialogue is interesting and relevant, rather than simply filler. It also helps that Gillian Wallace Horvat has a lot of experience at making documentaries. That she is a fine actress adds even more to her film's appeal. Special mention should be made regarding the many small roles Horvat gave to actors in her movie. Some lasted no more than a minute, but none were superfluous. This gave a lot of hopefuls something for their resumes when applying for parts in future movies.

You've seen those horror flicks using a hand held cheap camera as actors walk down dark passages. This is in the same vein only more boring & more light. The worst parts are a script that goes nowhere, i.e. Lots, and lots of talking heads; very self-centered in not a good way (obviously w/actor, writer, director the same person); very cheaply filmed especially the killing scenes seemed like a high school production using store room props.

As i see all family members alreday rated the film wiht 8 nd 9. This what happens when the director thinks she has the capabilites to create something unique but ends up with another meaningless Z category movie for the youth.

For all the moviemaker-wannabes out there: this is how you do it: a simple plot, a great script, a great main character, and... talent! What a great, twisted, dark comedy! Is it perfect? No. Would I change anything in it? Not really. Everything is right, and everything contributes to an end result that is definitely worth so much more than the sum of its parts. It accomplishes so much with so little! And it is masterfully shot and edited, despite the apparent amateurish look. Usually, I hate anything with this "handheld/selfie cam" look, but these guys really have the talent to pull this off. I can't wait to see what Gillian Wallace Horvat comes up with next.
