It's an absolute cringe. The hosting and Kesha are the only salvageable things here, but then Ginger was the only consistent one and had the believable acting. The writing is absolute trash especially in the newscasting skit. Like, wtf? Zombies and burrito brains? Good god it was terrible. The cast weren't utilized well. It almost brought the worst out of them. I can't believe Drag Race had better writing in these types of skits. The songs were...meh at best, save for the opening which was actually good. These Drag Queens and Kings deserve better content. They're already incredibly underrated, and these shows DO NOT help.

The concept is extremely cheesy, but the dance numbers and the costumes were great! Don't come in here thinking it's going to be Masterpiece Theater or the Royal Shakespeare Company, 'cuz it ain't. Blatant product placements, eye-rolling dad jokes, and Hulu advertising throughout, but good for a mindless romp through some really slick drag and a lot of Halloween-centric comedy. It was nice to see some different drag performers that don't fit the cookie cutter idea of drag...Landon Cider and Mario Diaz bring in that drag monster element that is gaining a lot of momentum right now. Kudos to the participants for getting together to have a good time and their own expense!

This is a glittery ad for Hulu's horror programming and little more. As wonderful as these drag performers are, they are props for poorly veiled promotions and product placement. The set design and costumes (at least try to hide corsets under Mo Heart's cheerleader outfit) mostly feel like they were pulled with a day's notice. The lighting does no one any favors. Kesha's song sounds terrible and the jokes are crusty. The editor didn't bother to cut around background adjusting their costumes. I was hoping for so much more. Feels like a bunch of non-union people gathered with a low budget and were told to make Hulu seem fun. A big waste.

So so so so so soooo bad. This was really bad. Monet and Ginger had absolutely zero chemistry. Their "acting" was terrible - it was just a huge waste of time. The only reason I gave it any points was for JackieBeat/ Lady bunny / Manila/ and Jujubee. maybe if they had Lady Bunny and Jackie Beat as the main hosts it would of had a small chance, but I'm guessing they refused it because it was so bad. don't waste your time on trying to watch this - Monet and Ginger were like robots reading their lines with horrible attempts at jokes. I can't believe how bad it was. I can't stress how "not funny " and corny it was.

I went into it expecting it to be good and left thinking it was great! I had such a fun time watching it and i'm so excited for halloween now It was campy, it was funny, sometimes the lyrics were a little bit raunchy or on the nose! Loved it! Everyone knows Halloween is christmas for drag queens! It when we get the most bookings! I loved the casting choices, I loved hearing Monet and Ginger's vocal chops! So talented! The sets looked great! The filming looked great! Very fun! I loved that they got some Drag Kings as well! And omg the outfits? I loved loved loved it and i would highly reccomend it to anyone above the age of 13 or so!

Unlike some of these other reviews I actually watched ithis show and know what network it was aired on. This is a light hearted campy Halloween party with some of the best of drag. Silly dad type jokes and one liners. I highly recommend it if you appreciate drag, like to laugh, and are not traumatized by the Rocky Horror Picture Show. There is a number that is a little bit more adult horror based but it's not something that will send you to therapy. One of the best things about this is that it taps into drag personalities from all over the drag entrainment spectrum. The musical numbers are catchy and camp. The drag itself is as you would expect from this stellar cast A+.

So I was concerned at the start (especially after the imdb low-score) that this would be a complete cringe-fest but it's honestly hilarious with just the right amount of cheese. I suppose, reading the reviews, most of the negativity is due to general dislike or disapproval of drag-queens, which is disappointing. However, the musical numbers were consistently catchy, the humour was light and fluffy, and even the guest singer's performance was both on-theme and on-point. Don't write this off without giving it a try for yourself; it really was surprisingly good. Thought Lady Bunny and Monet were stand-out performers, but no one was weak in the slightest.

Seriously this was the worst thing I've ever seen and I LOVE DRAG RACE. Maybe seeing the cast made me set the bar too high. Don't waste your time with this one. Just watch some old episodes of drag race and enjoy why these queens deserve so much better than a terrible Hulu special. Hopefully they got a good sized check. Because this must have made them cringe while making it and when watching it back. The jokes didn't land. The dialog was stiff. A couple of the songs were fine. There wasn't much chemistry. And I felt like most of it was lip synced. Even some of the dialog. Like the last song said, Hulu, let's not do this again...
