High school senior Theodore "Dribbles" Johnson grapples with scamming, basketball and love. The story develops into a complex tale when Jackson encourages "Dribbles" to engage in an armed robbery and their string of good fortune comes to a tragic end.

He story centers on Theo (Ron Bruce) who plays basketball and has a way out of the inner city. He is in a gang that pulls scams, picks pockets, and do swaps. Vicky (Azia Toussaint) works in a strip joint and helps the crew (which includes her brother) identify easy marks and scams. Theo wants out, but it is always one last job. Theo's dad was killed in the first scene by Mickey (Dana Watkins) before he was born. Vicky sets up a job that goes bad, but the payoff was good until they discover they stole money that belonged to Mickey who will want it back.
Some of the acting was pretty sad. It is in part a love story as Theo has a girlfriend. The opening of the safe scene was pantomime. Seriously? They didn't have a budget for a safe?
