The movie has nothing to do with Kuwaiti culture, the leading lady has excessive makeup and botox in every scene and her acting is a complete disgrace, the movie is really a complete waste of time, I think you should stay away from this movie, I can't even call it a movie, a three-year-old child could write a better script. The leading lady's acting is so bad, it's as if she came to this movie just to show herself, she struggles badly to show herself in every scene with her bad makeup and exaggerated botox. Netflix presents this to people as a movie; but this nonsense has nothing to do with Kuwaiti Culture and the lives of the people living there.

I am married to an Arabic man and I liked the movie because it reminded me of our story. People saying it is "unrealistic" of their culture is bc their culture is so toxically traditional and unaccepting of anything else. When my husband proposed, he said I was the first decision he ever made for himself (he was 27 & his family chose his entire life and wanted him to marry his cousin). They disowned him when he chose me... people saying this is "unrealistic" have never had the courage to stand up to their traditions for true love. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the over-injected lips. To everyone who doesn't believe Arab men would ever choose a western woman... My Habibi is proof that this movie was not so far-fetched. Alsalam ealaykum.

A particularly progressive film for an Islamic country like Kuwait
Beautiful landscapes hotels and all the things you think you are in a western country. Typical American script with a little dose of Islamic standards and the local way of life in Kuwait and Lebanon. The funniest part of the story was whether or not the couple were actually brother and sister.
Too many laughs in the first part of the film.
The only doo of the movie was the fat girl's thick hair and her rather exaggerated way of expressing herself. The groom was quite restrained.
At least me and my wife had a good time in this movie.
The final song is Hayo by Robert Alasaad noted in the end of the movie and also easily shazamed !
6/10.

It is so nice to watch something different, and it is so funny in the same time. I didn't know that Kuwait have night clubs. Also, they looks very modern, like it is not really from Kuwait. After this movie, I have a wish to travel there and explore this country. Only one thing what I did not like, I don't understand what is happened with lips of the Main acter, lipa are simply exaggerate i and it is not nice for actor. We expect that actor from Kuwait be more natural. Also, in move miss more colors, I believe in their Couture they have it more. This is not wasted time and I enjoyed the movie.

I love watching movies from parts of the world I only know through news reports. Gorgeous scenery and real chemistry between the two leads. It is a story that's been told hundreds of times but not from this country. The whole sister mystery was very strange but only from my western point of view. And I liked that Noor was an active, athletic woman. The only thing I couldn't understand was what she saw in her ex boyfriend, he seemed like a dull, possessive blockhead.
So if you are open-minded and like a breezy Kuwaiti rom-com, you will enjoy this movie. It has an innocence to it that I love about international films.

Both leads are not from Kuwait plus to much different dialect the sub was not good like u know Netflix. The female was fakeing to much her acting was way to unreal. The way they copying western culture is unbelievable.

The premise is promising, if cliched. He needs to get married because his (wealthy) father demands it. She wants to get married to get revenge on her ex who married her best friend when he was dating her.
So, the guy needs to get married. He's more or less open about the why. She, on the other hand is lying to him on the why. Throughout the movie. Basically, he is a nice guy trying to do the right thing. She is manipulative, secretive and looking for revenge in her ex. Always dragging her new husband to where she thinks her ex is. Ultimately they find him and the truth comes out. Her husband dumps her. But, they realise they have real feelings. And her back together. And she has the nerve to tell him that she is tired of his lying, when she's the one that's been lying practically the entire movie.
The script is horrible. The concept a cliche. Don't waste your time.

I wasted 2 hours of me and my friend's life.
A movie to be forgotten.
Story doesn't reflect the real Arabic society specifically not that of Kuwait
The scenario can't be written any worse.
The act is below average and the ending is very cliche.
The same story has been repeated in all the languages like a million time.
No value what so ever.
The only thing I found beautiful was the location it's truly mesmerising.
The direction and the quality of production were good too.
The song in the end of the movie is very attracting but I couldn't find the full song anywhere!
All in all I would not recommend watching.

The storyline is unoriginal. You might have seen it in many different films. Two people are brought together becomes of circumstance, and they seek each other to get back at someone. The female character's boyfriend marries a woman behind her back, so she declares that she is open to marry anyone. The male character is pressured into marriage by his father and if he does not fulfil those demands he will be disinherited and forbidden from making any changes to the company. Their bestfriends happen to be married to each other, so they link them up.
There is nothing original in this story except for one aspect and it is the fact that the two main characters, that do not know each other well, are likely milk-siblings which is a forbidden marriage in Islam. This is incest-adjacent and quite repulsive even if it is presented in this whimsical manner.
