Oh, wow. What a lame movie. I can't believe that that was Keri Russell. But you have to start somewhere. As for the movie, it's pretty stupid. There are a couple funny moments, but I wasn't impressed. The first one was more original, while this one just copies and copies. Wayne builds a machine that can blow up things now(make them bigger). His baby boy just happens to step in it's way. The son takes over the town like a Godzilla movie. That's pretty much it. I was also disappointed. I really wished they had brought the neighbors back from the first one. I thought that they stole the original. Stick to the first "Honey, I shrunk the kids". It's a lot better.

Was the movie always called "Honey I blew up the kid"? Because I swear when I was growing up it was called "Honey I blew up the Baby". I'm not sure if I'm miss remembering or if it's that whole Nelson Mandela affect happing. My bf remembers it the same as me.

Rick Moranis reprises his role as Wayne Szalinski. 2 years after their son and daughter have been shrunk, Moranis decides to bring his son, Nick and their new born baby, Adam into a laboratory that's keeping Moranis' shrinking machine up for testing, but, heads roll when the machine's laser strikes baby Adam causing him to grow at an enormous size. Now, Moranis must restore his baby back to normal size, but, now he realizes that his baby keeps on growing by the electro magnetic force field being carried on by the lights from the local casinos and clubs in Las Vegas. Moranis now needs to get his son to keep still and stop moving, or his rival, Dr. Henderson, will make his son shed his last tear to make his fortune, but, when it comes to sticky situations like this, there's only one person a baby can trust to help him get out of it, his mother.

Disappointing sequel. Great animated opening, and a few choice chuckles but this was clearly produced more with the intent to make money than to entertain. Watch the original instead.

I love this movie. I find It hilarious and I think that the story is well told and put together. The special effects hold up decently for being such an old movie. Also, the music has been tweaked from the original, and the score is fantastic! I am probably biased since I was mesmerized by this movie when I was so young. It was the first time I saw Vegas on a screen or otherwise, and to have a kid trashing the Strip was epic. Admittedly, when I watched it 15+ years later, it didn't feel as big or extravagant. I really enjoy the original too, and I even liked the third one (although I probably couldn't sit through that one again being a mature adult.
I rated this 10 stars for the pure enjoyment of reminiscing in my childhood.

Why this wasn't a horrible movie it failed to measure up to the original
But it's a dam sight better then the 3rd film which was trash
The idea of a 1200 foot baby dribbling is a bit over the top but
It's still a descent movie and again it's a thousand times better then the train wreck 3rd one

I have to give it to them, this sequel not only worked, but it was somehow better than the first. The first movie was really good, Nick was a great young nerd like his dad.
In the sequel he clearly grows as a character. He's less nerdy, he's into girls and a guitar. This movie had ok humor, but the story and action is where it wins. You just want them to rescue Nick's giant baby brother before the mean doctor who thinks he knows more than Wayne does something harsh. And you want to see Nick get with his dream girl. Great movie and great sequel

The role of Mandy Park, the babysitter, was played by Keri Russell. She pretty much saved this film. The film has plotholes. My overall opinion? Don't put yourself through this unless you are either a devout fan of Keri Russell or under the age of seven.
