Even though it has interesting cast (especially Cherprang from AKB48's sister, BNK48), interesting visual effects, and great director (from Seub Nakhasathien's short bio film). However, by making it totally different from source material (Colorful by Eto Mori) turns this film out as another disappointment, with multiple storyline so we can't focus on anything. (Pi's harassment, Mom's affair, Dad's work addict, etc.) Even it keeps many element from source, but 2010 japanese anime adaptation still did it better. The other thing that I totally disappoint is this movie soundtrack, if you listen carefully you'll noticed that this film has many soundtrack from other movie, opening scene from Blade Runner 2049, ending credit from A Silent Voice, and trailer music from Bumblebee. (But if composer thinks that this's inspiration, well okay...)

While the credits acknowledge that this was "inspired" by Eto Mori's 1999 novel, which was already filmed twice before, the truth is that everything original about this movie - the premise, the idea of a not-so-nice guardian angel, and the final revelation - comes from the novel. This film presents some really problematic views about women which are not part of the original story, namely how the protagonist treats his mother and girlfriend. The director and screenwriter make it seem that females are to blame if their suffering causes the male protagonist to feel bad about himself. In the original, his motive has more substantial and understandable reasons. In this story, he is utterly selfish. The local reviews upon reviews basically said the same thing, and that the weak script is only carried by the lead's devoted performance. Watch the 2010 anime version "Colorful" instead, it is superior in every way.

It seems that what I hypothesized about occasions in the story are accepted. H1: the lead character survive the 100-day challenge. H2: the short hair girl is in love with Min. H3: plot twisting because everyone is not guilty. H4: the previous Min and the new one are the same soul. H5: Pi has a very dark secret that hurts Min. Anyway, the storyline is good and made easy to understand. However, it is not as good as the Brother of the Year.

Great plot, good cast especially Teeradon's performance. The visual effect/CG look familiar but well and neatly done. Overall. It's worth watching.

Oh man this movie is just amazing, whether you would like to watch it with friends, girl friend, family it will blow your mind, trust me I am a movie lover and this movie by far has gone first in my top 5 movies, full of action, emotion, inspiring, cool special effects and much more... you have to watch it to know what I mean.. absolutely loved it.

I have watched it 3 times alread, it's never get bored and there's alot of plot twist which made this movie is more attractive ❤

Homestay impressively combinning movie genres: fantasy, horror, thriller, romantic, drama and comedy with the unusual plot and some outrageous twists will certain leave its viewers entertained.

I'm currently placed to teach in Wang Nam Yen, Sa Kaeo (rural area), Thailand with one of my friends. We are making the most of our time here and always try to keep ourselves busy so that we won't get homesick. We decided to go watch this movie to buy some time before the night market. When we finished the movie we both walked out the theatre with heavy hearts and we were practically crying inside. Because this movie put a big emphasis on family. This movie made us miss our family so much......Overall, it was a great movie! it was a emotional roller coaster ride for us and we enjoyed every bit of it!

This film is inspired from the Japanese novel, Colorful. Overall, actors, CG, plot are do really good. I think teenagers do like it. But, I think this adapted film has a problem about plots. There are not many differences from the original novel as we seen from some films adaptation. So, if you have ever read the book before, the main point or some secrets might not make tremendous impact as it should do. By the way, I think this film is a good one.
