Home2Home tells the story of Dennis Kailing who travels 43,600 km (27,000 miles) through 41 countries on 6 continents to circumnavigate the planet in 761 days. He does it on a bicycle - on his first bike journey ever. With the question "What makes you happy", but without experience in bike traveling, the 24-year-old from Germany jumps into the deep end and simply sets off - always heading east. He's traveling alone, but he's rarely lonely: many encounters with interesting, crazy or "completely normal" people give him insights that ordinary tourists rarely experience. While others like a well-structured all inclusive tour, this bike tour is a journey into uncertainty. But in the uncertainty hides the biggest adventure - Dennis gradually becomes aware of this. In addition to breathtaking landscapes and a good portion of humor, "Home2Home" also shows the unpleasant sides of a long bike trip: never-ending rain in the Andes of South America, illness between golden pagodas in Myanmar and loneliness in the endless expanses of the Australian Outback. After 43,600 kilometers in 41 countries on 6 continents and the circumnavigation of our planet, Dennis is coming back from the west to the place from which he set out to the east two years earlier. In the end, he came a little closer to his question 'What makes you happy' - mostly it's just a very simple, tiny, but completely natural thing.

Ok Why not say that he has a crew to: watch his bike and stuff, to help him with the filming and overhead shots, to protect him, and with the cost of all this over his 2 year adventure. Instead Netflix makes it like he's completely solo! Only One reviewer talks about his lack of any sun tan, lol yeah, that milky white skin wouldn't fair too well in some of his environs, never mind in the direct sun for hours every day. It's so silly to show obvious footage of him from afar and drone shots but never once alluding to his assistance. It gives naive people the wrong impression. Some of those countries shouldn't be visited alone. This documentary should come with a disclaimer.

I like a good adventure documentary and this one ticked many boxes. However I can not get over a scene where a few children somewhere in Asia hold the stiff dead bodies of some Marsupians they hunted for eating. That is life, however, they also killed a mother marsupian and the baby was still alive holding on to the dead body of the mom. The expression of terror and fear on that baby marsupian and this totally unneccesary cruelty still haunts me today. Had I known I would not have watched that doc.

Such a refreshing one. Do you love travelling, exploring new places? Then go for this movie. Well, is it a movie or a documentary? Doesn't matter. It has served its purpose I guess For someone to travel through over 40 countries by his bike, wow, it s just incredibly amazing.

Inspiring journey by young Dennis who took risk of his life to complete once in a life time adventure. However, movie was produced only keeping mind of general audience. But the audience of this movie is not general.. If the movie was for 4hrs I bet this sector of audience will watch until the last. They are interested to see the diversity of this world. See the true beauty and life styles. If the Dennis showed how he replace flat tire every time I bet audience won't complain about that. They need to enjoy the real 761 days journey. I'm sure their expectations won't match this because everything kept to nutshell. This is not the type of movie that you should produce for travel community. I gave my rating for his effort, not for the movie.

Hey Larry, unfortunately, you are dead wrong with all your assumptions. I personally know Dennis and there was absolutely no crew with him and apart from a few weeks spent together with his friend (who helped with some of the filming), he did it all by himself, period. So calm down, do a little research before giving a review next time (all your points can be validated as false if you read or watch an interview with him) and please don't write stuff, as if you knew for sure what is right or wrong. Best, Rob.

As an avid independent traveler on a shoe-string, I found this documentary entertaining, although it's scrubbed of most unpleasantness, and glosses over obstacles. This documentary presents a lush, fast-paced perspective of exotic countries such as Myanmar, and Timor-Leste, and of smiling, friendly people, without delving into perils of which there are many during such a journey. There is a quick mention of a flat tire, then quite a bit later, a short mention of being bored during 2,600km biking through the Australian outback. After awhile though, the joy of exploring the world is starting to wane, naturally, and the endless rain in South America becomes annoying, and a string (15) of flat tires is understandably frustrating. Those are just the top of the iceberg when it comes to the many obstacles on a trek like this, and I cannot imagine Dennis' exhaustion after biking 40,000 miles. The presentation is too fast-paced to allow the gathering of much information for travel to any of these countries. Going through India, for example, merits only a few minutes, and other countries such as Malaysia are only mentioned in the narrative. To me, this show is the equivalent of the HGTV house renovations, that compress the hard work into an hour of viewing, trying to inspire you to do the work, while making you believe they are easier than in reality. Entertaining without a doubt, though! As a side note, after 2+ years of cycling, Dennis doesn't appear sunburned, or even much tanned!

This documentary gives a fresh look at our world. Very informative in a personal sense as to how people from other parts of the globe react to a biking solo traveler. I like the Asia part of the documentary especially with the rain and diving off bridge and rivers. I was smiling at the pure fun Dennis is having with Cyril and kids. I was disheartened with his experiences while in South America. I can feel his concerns for his life. South American cities are so dangerous. The landscape outside the South American cities are still beautiful and untamed and very cold. South America is still wild. Thank you Dennis for making this film.
