Bored with her social butterfly lifestyle, Victoria Tremont longs to find that special someone. Naturally, when a handsome stranger walks into the coffee shop where she works, she turns on the charm. But when he fails to respond to her flirting the way men usually do, she's perplexed. She finds out that he runs a ministry that builds affordable housing, and sees that if she wants to get his attention, all she has to do is volunteer. So what if it's a faith-based ministry. Pretending to be a "church person" isn't any different than pretending to like sports or a guy's friends, right? Jason Holman has relocated, hoping to get away from women who don't take commitment seriously. As the coordinator for Home Base, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building basic housing for those who would not otherwise be able to afford it, he has a purpose. Now, all he needs is a cure for his loneliness. But when a beautiful blonde volunteer catches his eye, he resolves to keep their relationship professional.

Krista is so beautiful! Def a great movie to lift your spirits! Lots of complaints from other critics claiming the outcome is generic however I'm not sure what kind of outcome critics are desiring from a Christian movie! I would 100% suggest watching this movie if your spirits are down a bit!

If you aren't anti-Christian, yet still not hung up on hearing the words, Jesus I accept you as my lord and savior then you will probably like this movie. This is a story about a young woman finding her personal relationship with God. It is not her finding whatever a so-called Christian thinks her relationship with God should be. Having said that, it's also about love, romance, friendship and building homes.

Home Sweet Home is the story of how waitress Natasha Bure takes one look at Ben Elliott and decides he might be the one for her. How to get him to notice her is the pproblem. Turns out he's a Christian with his own Habitat for Humanity type mission. Elliott is always looking for volunteers and usually finds them in the churches. Still Bure volunteers and she truly looks ridiculous in those wedgies on the first day. Still the spirit is willing and she starts soaking up Bible lingo to fit in. As these things happen Bure starts digesting the meaning and I need not tell you the rest. HomeSweet Home is a nice romantic story wih religious overtones. Gets a bit preachy at times and I fear it will get few bookings away from church basements.

I like Natasha Bure and hoped this movie would be great. She was the best part of this movie. It was marketed as a "Christian" movie, but was basically the typical Hollywood version of Christianity - no substance and all fluffy good feelings. Besides the lukewarm testimony and some false theology, the male lead sounded like he was reading the entire time. It was completely predictable, and had so many cliche romance scenes that I can't give it more than a five star rating; that it got more than 3 stars is owed largely to Natasha Bure's acting skills.
