Just finished watching this on SkyQ after recording it last night. Everyone in the Government, Care Sector and those who declined the Covid-19 vaccine, need to watch this and learn from it. Powerful performances from Comer & Graham. This is going to win multiple TV awards.

This has to be one of THE AMAZING DRAMAS I have seen in a very long time. Gutwrenching and heartbreaking. Yet another amazing performance by Jodie Comer and Stephen Graham who is rapidly becoming one of my favourite British actors. Sarah finally finds the job she always wanted. Looking after elderly people in a care home. She quickly builds bonds with the residents. Open and bubbly and loved by all. Pandemic hits hard as we are all aware PPE was hard to come by. The staff were using whatever they could find. Demanding work hours taking their toll. Enter Tony, early onset Alzheimer's resident. Typical happy go lucky northerner. A strong bond is formed with Sarah who seems to keep him in the here and now. Giving him more lucid moments than bad. I gave this 10/10 for performance, story and the sheer emotion in the entire program. In my eyes this is a MUST see.

Wow. A hard watch. But SHOULD be watched. Outlines the wretched mistakes by trying to clear Hospitals by moving people into unprotected care homes, and the awful dearth of PPE - Government Ministers should hang their heads in shame. Brilliantly portrayed (Jodie and Steven truly outstanding, as they always are), making this gutwrenchingly real. Credit to all involved.

I was entirely removed from this drama when the lead was told after her interview she could 'start on Monday' no DBS Check , no references . The ending with her kidnapping a resident to save him was just beyond ridiculous! It would have been more impactful to see her whistleblow , or give evidence at an inquest or enquiry rather than see a young women tank her career for one man !

3/4 of the film is intense, really horrific and probably only scratching the surface of what actually happened in care homes. The last 20 minutes it went off the rails, the tone changed and it took away from the otherwise compelling storytelling.

Brilliantly acted by the whole cast, written and directed. No punches pulled, just an honest depiction of how care homes were treated by the Government from the start of the pandemic-simply ignored. It is not often that a program moves me to tears, but this one made me shed a few.
