8.4 stars.
Grab the tissue box for this one. You won't need it until the last 15 minutes, but you'll weep my friend. Just be ready for it, in case you don't like crying at movies, you will have no choice. I wanted to forewarn you so you could find an excuse to leave the room when the tears flow.
Once again there is real magic produced, and I am very proud for the opportunity to witness the miracles portrayed in 'Hearts of Christmas'. There is no particular aspect that stands out for me, this is a smorgasbord of good tidings of joy (quality).
The romance was so tension filled and frustrating at first, then suddenly we are on a wonderful journey with our two leads as they fall in real love, not that fake stuff. In a 90 minute film, somehow Hallmark has given us a ship in a bottle, the whole package of a story of old fashioned goodness.
I think this has the most kissing I've seen in a Hallmark so far, but it's very tasteful and appropriate. Romance, chemistry, fun, tension, and the BEST FEEL GOOD I've had in a long time.

This is a GREAT FILM.
It turns out the elderly colleague saved the young colleague at birth. Her step father looks like the trivago guy.
It's basically like a Christmas movie combined with a good feeling holesum movie. And there's a steamy love-storey !
I watched it two time

If ever you're worried whether or not you have Dry Eye Syndrome, watch this film. I did...and I am proud to say that my eyes are 100% healthy.
Emelie Ullerup and Kris Polaha are completely new names to me. But, as Jenny and Matt (a dedicated pediatric nurse and the seemingly Scrooge- like CFO she gradually falls for, respectively), they are undeniably a charismatic couple. So, I'm more-than-sure that everyone will be seeing them in future Hallmark Xmas movies. Sharon Lawrence, however, steals the show. She is utterly convincing as Alice Shelby, head nurse of NICU (the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) at a Community General Hospital.
Unfortunately, the hospital is in such dire financial straits that they have to compel the early retirement of twelve senior staff members. Alice included!
Of course, this being a Hallmark Xmas movie, it's practically guaranteed that there will be a happy ending or two. The trick is guessing how Jenny will go about achieving them! And if you want to know whether or not your guesses are right? Well, I guess you'll just have to watch this flick to find out.
I did. And you can bet I'm going to watch every subsequent re-run of it for the remainder of The Holidays.

I watched this movie twice and would watch it again. It had a wonderful romance, an interesting plot, and a strong cast. This movie WILL develop a much greater following as it continues to be shown! I especially enjoyed the focus on a hospital, with a dedicated group of nurses working in a NeoNatal Intensive Care Unit. Their work--not only with the tiny babies but also with their families--struck a chord with me because I had a premature baby boy who spent almost three months in such a unit in Providence, Rhode Island at Women's and Infants hospital. The conflict in the story centers around the efforts to control costs by bringing in an outsider, who looks at numbers and cuts staff. An older supervising nurse is one of the casualties and must take early retirement: her staff is frustrated and notes how many lives she has impacted. Every year, many of her "Angel babies" send her Christmas cards. One young nurse decides to use their annual party to honor this woman. The story also focuses on one young family whose baby needs surgery. Far from being predictable, there are several plot twists and emotional scenes that I found especially moving. With so many movies over the holidays, this one stood out to me and I made it a point to see it again. It also made me think of a very special friend, Beth, who is a nurse practitioner in the Kansas City area; she got me through my ordeal so many years ago with a number of phone calls offering the same blend of factual information, hope, and compassion that I saw the nurses in this movie offer to families. It seemed very authentic to me.
