as i expected this is gonna be a lame movie and well it came out to be lame. If it wasn't for my friend i would have happily sat down for FAST 5 for the second time. i didn't expect it to match the standards of the lamest of English movies but well i guess i was right.I guess whoever made the movie wanted some easy cash and thus looked for the easiest means a horror movie. It is highly clichéd no doubt with the screams and bangings one might easily get scared, but i am a tough viewer even films like Paranormal activity and Nightmare on elm street don't stand a chance to scare me. i hope i could give this movie a 0 but i couldn't that's so sad. But i think the 1 i gave is what it deserved because maybe it is intentional but the movie was quite funny..

What a movie by the director.I went to the cinema hall wishing to see a horror flick in 3d but when i came out of the cinema hall i felt as if i have been robbed of my money and i knew about it.What a shitty movie. If u have never seen a movie in 3d then go for it otherwise it's my sincere advice."please don't waste your money".I was laughing at many points in the movie. There is 1 thing that in this movie the ghost will break the record of Asafa Powell in 100 m sprint. And what to say about the adult part.Their have been sex first between two humans then between a ghost and human and then again between two ghosts. How can someone live up to 80 years being at the same age?The Sufi saint lived 80 years to send the hero back in time to 1932.

Some reviews which I found on internet are misleading which says negative about movie. As the movie has Vikram Bhats tag attached, it's his one of the best horror films compared to earlier "1920" and "Shaapit". I loved the storyline, it's something different. 3D effects are up-to the mark what Indian movies can expect. Also like Vikram Bhat's earlier movies, this too take you to the pre-independence era. There are many HORROR n CHILLING scenes which will scare you along with weird scream scenes. Better leading actor and actress should have been casted, but anyways new actor and actress too have performed well. In brief, this film has all the elements what Indian MASALA horror film should consist of. I recommend this movie for ADULTS who love horror movies.

This is the second movie I'm reviewing after 'Ghajini'. Reason is the same...Movie was so Fu****g bad that I decided to review it as a public service.
First of all, lets not discredit India's first attempt at a 3D movie. The movie has good depth but how much would you pay to see which character is what distance from the screen.I don't think there are any 'WOW' 3D scenes in the movie and the 3D jitters at times. And if you're the fan of stuff coming out of screen and missing your face... Choose a theater with a really big screen and sit closer to it.In a regular 3D theater no stuff hits your face.Seriously if your going for amazing 3D don't waste your money on this one.
And I'm not the only one....this movie is Not scary. All audience was laughing as its really funny at times and the Hero with his cute expressions makes it funnier. And one more thing he dances really well.
The script is very cheesy but except for the lead male and female character rest of the cast pulls it off.But the Ghost makeup is really good. The only reason its an adult movie is because it is an ADULT movie.....And in a very awkward way.Even if you're with your girlfriend you will cringe at times. The villain is really really horny...even his ghost...I mean Come on, its a ghost.. and all he can think of is "busty ladies". Makeup was really good but some loud sound effects are totally unnecessary at times. You know the stupid horror in which the director checks your reflexes by popping something on screen with a loud thud... yeah there is a lot of it here. But
One thing I must say... a big drawback with virtually all horror movies is that the director pulls a lot of strings and when summing up the movie there are big plot holes. This movie is different not because its genius but "the happily ever after" part is actually satisfying.
Now the big question. The reason your are here. Who should go see this movie? 1) who gets a free ticket. 2) who wants to see how different people and objects look in 3D and definitely NOT those who want to see special effects in 3D. 3) who worked with Mr.Bhatt in making this movie.
One personal note to Mr.Bhatt "Please keep religion/religions out of the movies because its really offensive to some people!!"

plot completely predictable and prosaic more of drama than horror. oddly placed romantic scenes which hardly make any sense.. for dialogues you will scratch your head because there are too stereotypical. please let's not get into acting as it was totally juvenile as i anticipated. mimo had only one expression throughout movie and the actress whatever her name don't even know how to scream when u see a ghost.. her screams (which were not at all chilling) agitated throughout.
only thing good and deserved 5/10 was some of the well choreographed horror scenes sudden evil popping out was scary though not at all disturbing..
a let down from vikram bhatt because i was expecting lot..

Vikram Bhatt as once again proved his excellent work by making another horror movie in all different style. Just to add a pinch of spice, this time its 3D. I was very impressed my Vikram Bhatt's previous work in 1920 and Raaz, and this he as even proved to be better. The performance of Mimoh Chakraborty and Tia Bajpai is up to the mark. Even though few concepts in the movie makes you think how can it be possible, like- Ghost are powerful after 3am, How do Rehan goes to past(1936)?, i will take it as granted. The movie as many chilling effects and visuals to be admired. Overall, a must watchable and more over Enjoyable too.. Cheers..

I was going to rate it "1" but thought I should be a bit generous for the work behind the movie else I totally discourage making such movies.
Let me start with the dessert. The 3D is good and that's just it. I was enjoying ONLY that part of it.
From the opening of the movie, the story was very predictable and usual. In Hindi - "Wahi ghisa phita kahaani aur dialogue!"
Coming out with such silly movies and predictable dialogue left most of the viewers in the theater laughing. I have seen good direction and enjoyed better horror in Indian TV (horror/thriller)serials.
Few scenes were scary but this was not because of good direction. It was just those sounds that caught us by surprise which you could get scared by watching similar videos made by amateurs on youtube. My money was totally wasted.

2 weeks ago a channel aired Haunted movie and I was waiting as I saw 1920 just a day back and found it quite interesting though so my expectations were a bit higher than 1920.
I watched this movie and found it beyond the expectations. Beautiful location, sets, weather keeps you glued to your seat and that's what you need at initial. As there was no well known face so it gets that edge which is required in horror flick. The movie flows in sweet manner and changes the track wisely. You know everything about situations. This is quality of director that he explains everything to the audience so that nobody annoys you "Hey, what was that, How?...Why?" and you give annoyed looks with anger to the fellow as he/she interrupts and never let you focus on.
Every actor did a great job even small role guys did their best jobs and you compare everyone as equal.
Movie goes back to 1936 and here is the best part. Old age clothes and British culture revolves in front of your eyes and you are ready to feel deep inside the movie.
The ghost is very good and situations are really scary. This movie never gets offbeat and gives you true feel of horror.
Music is awesome that's why I am listening it for past 3 weeks over and over.
If you have plan for your weekend to sit at home it's better to watch movie and take nap because you were in a beautiful and successful dream which was India's first 3D Stereographic movie.

Another Vikram Bhatt magic horror Flick after 1920,Shaapit & Raaz.
But the surprising thing is Mimoh (Mithun's son)'s acting. The girl also acted well and the ghost also acted well.
Some potion of movie(mainly makeup and horror activities) is inspired from Exorcist(which is common for every horror movie). But its not a bad thing..Because Exorcist is the benchmark.
The story is interesting.A ghost can not safe herself from another ghost.
Music is good.Direction is top notch.Camera work is also good.
Now waiting 4 Vikram Bhatt'r next horror Flick-Raaz 3 :D
My rating for this movie 9/10
Must watch this movie

Vikram Bhatt's fascination for horror continues, even as the Indian film industry -- and the Desi viewer -- desperately awaits the first authentic bone-chiller from Bollywood. Is Haunted the answer to the chill hunters' prayers?
Not completely. And that's because the story is dog-eared and done-to- death. Almost every horror film has the wailing ghost of a nubile young maiden who sends outs desperate SOSs to anyone who dares to enter her domain. And don't we know why she's wailing! Still, we won't reveal the secret, which in any case, is hardly a secret....
But if the film works -- and it works quite well -- is only because of the special effects of the film. Experiencing the horror in 3D is indeed a novel experience for the viewer, specially since it is smartly done. Each time the ghosts lunge out at you, stick out their tongue or flail their limbs, you jump back in your seat. And yes, there are a lot of ghosts, performing a lot of ghastly acrobatics. There's even a snake sticking out its venom at you and a hurtling brick, almost missing your nose....Great fun.
Other than that, there is the scenic beauty (Pravin Bhatt's cinematography), a hummable music score (Chirantan Bhatt) and the eye for detail (the film moves back and forth in time) which keeps the hours ticking. Performance-wise, the director has opted for a bunch of new actors to pitch in as the lead pair. Sadly, there's nothing extraordinary about them and they hardly leave an impact. It's the veterans, like Achint Kaur and Arif Zakaria who end up giving you the goosebumps. And they do it in adequate measure.
