Well, another top 10 for me as just brilliant. From beginning to end this story just unfolds and lets you see the lengths a rich family or a family with a rich member go to making sure they are not forgotten and how to find that special person who really loves them. Amazing idea and great cast and such an even better ending and makes you smile and again Olivia D'abo such a hotty and Michael J Fox and Kirk Douglas play it to perfection as uncle and newphew with the late Phil Hartman who just winds you up so much..sorry...winds them up..lol.. a must watch.

The storyline in this movie is great, but the comedy factor is very low. The attempted jokes in this movie are flavourless. If you go to watch this movie don't expect a comedy, expect a light-hearted drama. The ending is great and the actors are lively.

There is a lot of talent on display here and they all do a great job. Trouble is the story is dull, predictable, cliched and goes on for far too long.

It's really impossible not to like a Michael J Fox movie - unless of course you don't like any Michael J Fox movies, and GREEDY was one that I had never heard of, and it turned out to be quite a little gem.
Starting off like a worryingly 'seen-it-all-before' 80s movie, the injection of an intriguing screen chemistry between Fox and his 'Uncle Joe' Kirk Douglas makes this film immediately watchable. Nancy Travis was unfortunately miscast as Fox's wife (here was no chemistry whatsoever), who had nothing but lame comedy one-liners. But otherwise this was a charming film with a predictable, but feel-good ending. Definitely worth a look!

I found this film so obvious in its "humor" and overacting all over the place that could only resist about 20 minutes of it.
It seemed acted for people with diminished intellectual capacity, loudly and over the top, with plenty of facial gestures and theatrical whispers --when they weren't shouting-- rolling eyes and everything. Really.
Shame for an actor like Kirk Douglas, that has masterpieces in his portfolio of pictures.
And the film is wrong from its basis, the script, a script --again so obvious-- that from the very first scene we comprehend the whole idea without having to wait for its development, so infantile it is. Maybe it was done for the Popcorn Generation or whatever they are called?
Read the other reviews, see whatever length of this movie you can suffer, and judge for yourself.

First of all, I watched this movie because of Michael J. Fox but fortunately this is not the kind of movie that you can only watch because your favourite(s) is/are in it. (For me it is/was one of his best roles.)
This movie is hilarious. The dysfunctional family are perfectly displayed here. The harmony of the brilliant acting, jokes/gags and storyline is what makes this movie great.

Lovely reviewing Michael J. Fox's films, an almost childlike beauty, his eternally youthful face, a passionate talent and charisma, the very convincing drama, filled with humor, funny jokes, all very cute... And the final plot twist, pricelessly wonderful , I loved it...

Simply a great movie. Michael J. Fox trained with one of the greats, Johnny Petraglia for months in preparation for this movie. Fox went from a hack casual bowler to a respectable 175 average. Not good enough to actually throw the shots he was supposed to throw in the movie, though. The makers of Kingpin and Big Lebowski should have seen this one before making a mockery of the game. Any bowling lover should not miss this one.
