Loved it. As an older woman lacking in confidence this movie resonated..nothing but respect shown between the two, the way he spoke to her and looked at her I found myself grinning through almost the whole thing. I docked a star because it isn't a series and it should be 😕

Please give this movie a chance. The movie has so many layers and I think people might miss some. It's the understanding of two people learning to be naked while being naked. It's the intimacy of it all which people miss. This is movie about the art of connecting with someone, letting go of control and allowing yourself to be free. Feel pleasure. For Nancy, it's the idea that she didn't think she deserve or know how to receive pleasure. She has to control things and for Leo, he thought he could perform without being truly naked. She had an issue with actually being naked and he had an issue with being " naked" emotionally. I thought it was well put together and showed all sides. Beautifully written and very well paced with laughs on the side.

It's a wonderful celebration of sex positivity, exploration of generation gaps, and a brilliant showcase for Emma Thompson's incredible acting. Highly recommended, especially for middle aged and older women.

Loving Emma Thompson gets you here, loving Daryl McCormack is where you end. It's a ride I enjoyed taking with the both of them. I actually laughed and cried and neither was forced. These two are nothing short of phenomenal. So deserving of all the hoopla and praise!

Yes, talky and single-minded in concept, but Emma Thompson and Daryl McCormack bring something special to it. The scene between Nancy, Leo, and the Waitress is well worth waiting for. On the surface, the film is about body positivity, but there's more to be discovered during Nancy and Leo's not-so-brief encounters.

This is a witty and well written movie that mostly stays away from graphic encounters until the last few minutes. Emma Thompson is as charming and beautiful as always, and her co-star Daryl McCormack is equally charming. Overall this is worthwhile and commendable. I do have some concerns about the underlying message of the movie, however. The idea that women should learn to love and accept their own bodies, flaws and all, is commendable and is worth shouting from the rooftops. But Nancy's body positivity only seems to extend to herself. By her own admission, she has rejected many suitors her own age, because she doesn't want an old man, she wants a young, handsome man. There is no indication that she has changed her attitude by the end of the movie. Indeed the dialogue suggests that more people should hire sex workers to fulfill their desires. What about the idea that we can be attracted to and find physical fulfillment with other people who also have aging or otherwise flawed bodies?
