It is quite hard to remember about watching such a decent movie. Please watch it with your friends and family. It reveals how an innocent guy, became the victim of a case, but atlast he is able to make out from such and in this era it is too hard to find such friends like his music band mate. Kudos.

I am partial to agree with a fellow reviewer whom stated that "Golden Slumber" (aka "Goldeun seulleombeo") is hard to follow. When I sat down to watch the 2018 South Korean action thriller "Golden Slumber" I hadn't even heard about the movie, so I didn't know what I was getting into here. But the mere fact that this was a South Korean movie was sufficient enough to make me sit down to watch it. I will say that "Golden Slumber" started out alright, but about halfway through it seemed like director Dong-seok No was struggling to make sense out of what writers Ui Seok Cho and Hae-jun Lee had done with the material from Kôtarô Isaka's novel. And the movie not only lost its momentum but it tripped over its own legs, got tangled up in itself and never really recovered. And the rest of the movie was just a serving of scrambled incoherency. Always amazes me when a movie sets out to accomplish way too much and manages to only deliver a fragment of what it sets out to. And "Golden Slumber" is one such movie. It should be said that the acting in "Golden Slumber" was good, and lead actor Dong-won Gang definitely carried the movie quite well with his performance. If you enjoy action thrillers, then "Golden Slumber" is not really a movie that should be at the top of your to-watch-list. In fact, there are far better action thrillers readily available in the South Korean cinema. I am rating "Golden Slumber" a very bland and mediocre five out of ten stars.

Once the movie kicked off, it had you by the seat of your pants. And with twists I honestly wasn't expecting. That's why I really enjoy Korean films - great storylines.

After the initial explosions hard to follow the plot. Why did they cram this poor fellow? What's with Gang Ding Wons hair? Don't bother.

Movie: Golden Slumber (15): Action/Thriller - Korean Positives: The action sequences are exciting and delightful to watch. Some thrills in the beginning are induced quite well, while some simply won't work if you've seen the trailer. The film's running time is decent; it's not stretched too long. Gang Dong-won delivers a decent act, and so do others. Some emotional scenes work in the second half. Technically, the film is a pure gem. The visual effects and cinematography have been handled very adequately. Negatives: The film loses momentum after a big action sequence and this is exactly where some inconsistency shows up. The direction is not totally up to the mark: while the first half is excellently sketched, the second one looks slightly underdeveloped. Fortunately, the film picks up momentum at a high point, thanks to the action once again. The character development of Gang Dong-won's character is not good in the second half. Some changes seem way too abrupt and may not go down well with all. The inducement of some dramatic subplots at peak moments slows down the pace of the movie. Repeat value: Only for the action sequences . I had too many expectations because of the film being visually catchy and action packed. But GOLDEN SLUMBER is nevertheless an engaging action thriller which keeps you engaged for the most part. It stays true to its genre and that's good enough.
