Let's put a new spin on a old quote: The message is more important than the medium. Critics may say the acting wasn't amazing - you may think this is a bit different, but I didn't go to this movie to see the acting. I went to this movie to get a different take on Christians and the world. There were POWERFUL themes throughout this movie. The idea that the vast majority of believers in Jesus have been of great benefit to mankind, that persecution of Christians is blatantly hypocritical especially when it is by people who supposedly believe in free speech. Even the lawyer that is defending the pastor is not a believer, but still defends the right to free speech. The white pastor is far from perfect, and expresses his frustration about "Christians not standing up for themselves", then gets dressed down for complaining to an older black pastor about persecution. POWERFUL STUFF. The right to free speech does not even create controversy until someone says something you don't like. That is what makes America, Canada and other Western countries free. For those who love socialism and communism, please move to China or Russia. After a time living there, and getting used to not even having the right to go see many movies that the state has outlawed - you will beg for the freedom to come back here and be free to watch a movie you may or may not like. I would say the theme at the end of the movie was that in the end, love conquers. I asked my wife what message the movie brought, she said, "When you feel the need to fight, fight with love." What is more important in a movie? A critics opinion about whether or there was an "Oscar winning performance" by one of the actors, or is it more important that the movie made me feel good, and inspired me to act more like Jesus. I would say the latter. Jesus did look out for the widow and the orphan, but he did not promote current society fantasy idea of "social justice" (rob the rich to give to the poor) also known as socialism. All the freedom in the world can be traced back to what Jesus taught. Go and read it for yourself. #God's Not Dead

It was a really good and emotional movie. I think that the acting was great and it's nice they used the same characters from the first GND movie. For the people who are mad about it being about Christians, it's supposed to be it's not about these other religions. 10/10 would watch again.

Great movie! It was a realistic portrayal of a Christian pastor's struggle when things happen that we don't understand, or turn out the way we think they should. The portrayal of the battle for the minds abd hearts of students on college campuses is pretty accurate.
Most of the naysayers and trolls bash a movie because they hate Christianity, not because they have seen it. One reviewer seems to have watched the movie, but why go see a movie just to bash a way of life you cannot understand.
The lead actors in this movie John Corbett and David A. R. White, do a very good job in their respective roles and easily carry the movie. The supporting cast is also professional and do well in their parts.
It is great to see movies that look at the world from a Christian point of view, and where all Christians are not portrayed as judgmental hypocrites as they are in secular films, if they are seen at all.

There is no hidden propaganda or bad acting. The only reason anyone could not like this movie is attention span or they are struggling with their own issues. There is nothing offensive nothing fire and brimstone about this film. It's politics vs the little people with religion thrown in AND about what a LOT of our youth and young adults are dealing with today. It was very helpful and informative to me, as an adult, to help answer questions and concerns I am approached with quite often. Why would God let this happen? Or if there was a God then why?? Christians aren't perfect and we are always struggling, as depicted in the film. It's nice to see a film on the big screen that you can take something away from and feel good about it. All without cheating, stealing and planning revenge. It's also nice to see forgiveness, kindness and not everyone out for themselves.
OH! Jon Corbett made this film!! Lol

David A.R. White who is probably the premier actor in Christian films takes center
stage in the third God's Not Dead film. In the previous two he was in support. As Reverend David Hill his church is located on the grounds of the university campus
and also houses the campus ministry.
I'm not sure I could find enough space to tell all that was wrong with this one. In
my city a landmark building like that, no way would it be torn down not with
the active preservationists that are here. Even after it being firebombed because some don't like the message it was giving out it would have been repaired and preserved, eminent domain or no eminent domain.
Firebombed it is by a disgruntled youth played by Mike C. Manning and the fire
and explosion cost the life of visiting pastor from Africa, Benjamin Onyango.
The battle lines are set between White and University President Ted McGinley
and the campus divides.
The confrontation also brings about a reconciliation of sorts between White and older brother John Corbett. He's one of those secular humanist lawyers,
but when you need one good to have one in the family.
Shane Harper returns from the first God's Not Dead film. He's changed careers
and now is a youth pastor working with White. Harper describes himself as a
liberal type himself, he does Habitat For Humanity type work, he says he battles for civil rights. I wonder if that includes LGBTQ rights. No gays or
campus gay organization in sight on this large university.
This one surely has a fairy tale ending though which you have to see to believe.
I wish it were all that simple. And as for young Manning I will say that the killing was not his intent. If you watch enough Law And Order you've heard
the phrase 'intent follows the bullet'. What happens to Manning is just plain
off the wall. If this were New York County ain't no way Jack McCoy would have
countenanced it in a New York minute.
Things just don't work out in the real world compared to what we see in God's
Not Dead: A Light In The Darkness.

A Light in the Darkness was a great movie about Faith, Love and Forgiveness. Phenomenal characters, great storyline. I will definitely be owning this movie!
