It was ambitious to base a mystery/horror in a toilet between only two principle characters, for sure. And the guts to attempt it is primarily what attracted me to the movie ! But the greater the challenge, the greater the requirement for skill and finesse to pull it off. And for me, sadly, this failed on pretty much every level of basic movie-making. Puerile humour, laboured storytelling, repetitive dialogue and irritatingly flawed acting. It just felt lazy, over-padded, and lacking in inspiration. I think that the movie would have greatly benefitted from creating a genuine connection between the two "characters", which would have also required a drastically improved script. I also think the main character needed to be far more flawed/controversial to warrant his involvement at all (the reasons given were laughable !). The 2 stars are principally for the bravery of even attempting such a movie, with only a few actors and a very limited setting. But of the bunch of movies I have seen with similar constraints, this is among the worst of them.

The bad; come on, when I wanna see a horror movie, better create a story with actors and with visuals that truly horrify me. But none of that. This is NOT horror at all. There is one leading actor (unknown to me) who has no charisma whatsoever. That's a real problem, because this dude has gotta carry this movie. But he simply cannot act scared very well. At all. The story gets more silly towards the end. At the start it wasnt thrilling either, but at the end it is laughably silly and terrible. AND tedious to watch....

Some people might not like it but for me it's damn near peak of Lovecraftian movie. This movie was perfect, can't describe how many boxes this movie checks. I can't stress enough but you have to experience this wonderful gem or maybe not? I really don't get this low of a ratings.

Even though Glorious has a very short runtime of only 79 minutes, it feels a bit dragged out. This is the type of movie that work best as a 30 minute short film.

Directed by Rebekah McKendry (All the Creatures Were Stirring) and written by David Ian McKendry, Joshua Hull, and Todd Rigney, this film finds a depressed Wes (Ryan Kwanten) dealing with his breakup by hitting the road. At a rest stop, he gets drunk and burns everything he owns. Heading into the restroom to puke, he finds himself locked inside a stall while the next one over, inside a glory hole, is a voice belonging to J. K. Simmons. That voice is a cosmic god by the name of Ghat and if Wes wants to save all of reality, he must submit his body to him. But is that really a Lovecraftian monster inside the other toilet? Is Wes really the good person he claims to be? And will two abused children - a hungover human and an Elder God - be able to bond? Are we all doomed? Glorious has a great concept and would probably be even better as a short than a high concept full-length. That said, I was in no way bored by this movie and you should probably check it out - it's exclusively on Shudder - and make up your own mind. You'll never pee in a rest stop the same way again.

RATED 5/10 Language: English Source: Nil The movie starting was good and kept interesting till one point. After the demi god explanation is done it looks like stretched with too much gore. The story and pace is bit weird and it is not my cup of tea. And the cast makes it bit worse the situation. There is no entertainment factor and I have to read web pages to read the interpretation of the climax. After reading those explanations, I could feel the disjointed flow. It is not bad and at the same time the memory scenes are bit repetitive. The single cast without interesting dialogs leads to boring moments towards end.

Nothing happens, nothing happens, nothing happens, it's over. Boring movie with a lot of dialogue that really goes nowhere. An embarrassment to the horror genre. It's really more like a gory drama.
