Disjointed random bits of nothing happening between barely developed characters, scenes that go nowhere, & time-killing filler.

A movie about two people who are all screwed up and continue to screw up time after time. Most people coming out of the movie could not understand why the reviews were decent.

A real struggle, both leads flounder with their characters. The cat, even though it's not a very nice cat, was the only person I could relate to. By the time the one fun scene arrives, it's far too late to redeem the movie. If you're married, this will stop you from divorcing. If not, it will stop you from dating.

Don't listen to user reviews from "rotten tomatoes". Pay attention to dialog between characters, gestures, reactions, words, etc. Seems like people are in desperate need of an amusing anesthesia to help them escape. Those who criticize this movie needs that unrealistic and pathetic anesthesia! I've seen crappy movies and this is NOT one of them. You're heart has to be ready for this one. I loved it! Made me laugh (genuinely). Performances were awesome!!

I'm literally sitting in the movie right now writing this review. Yes, it is so boring that I had to say it before it was even over. Don't worry, I'm not bothering anyone around me. There are only 3 other people here and 1 of them is checking Facebook. Super slow... super pointless... good soundtrack. There you go, whole movie.

What misfortune on my part to see this film & "The Delinquent Season" one after the other. Both show females (w/complicity by males of course) leading dysfunctional personal love lives, and the hollow (read sex) steps they take to try to fulfill what's missing, i.e. to give meaning & love to their lives. Of course a lot of hurt shows up. People have so much, yet never satisfied even w/so much natural beauty & life to be grateful for.

Julianne Moore is one of my favorite actors and she seems like a fine human being. We stayed 15 minutes longer than my wife wanted. She was done about 10 minutes into the thing and kept rolling her eyes as I urged her to hang on. Whatever the intention was for this film it was an epic fail. Boring. Tedious. Sad. Meaningless.
