If you're a woman-hating loser you might get a kick out of this garbage, it's a woman-hating loser fantasy. In fact, it has a lot in common with a woman-hating loser - no redeeming qualities. I got suckered in by the reviews......I despair, don't make the same mistake.

Patience is a virtue not often found in slasher flicks. Usually it's rare to go ten minutes without someone meeting an unfortunate fate at the hands of a mass murdering psychopath. 'Girl House' breaks the mold in this instance. It has a rather unique structure to it where the story and characters are introduced to us for an extended period of time with little else happening. This might sound like a negative but it really wasn't. All the mayhem is saved for the final quarter of the film (barring the open scene - which was very well done) and it's a fun ride. The characters, particularly the main one Kylie, are a lot more likable than you usually get in this type of film. The extra time given to the viewer to get to know them really pays off in this way. The sexuality of the film is always apparent but never overbearing and it certainly never becomes anything you could refer to as an "erotic-horror". The killer was intimidating enough to warrant a few decent scares and overall the movie is of a good quality. An impressive little entry into the genre that you will enjoy if this sort of thing is for you.

I saw this last night because the plot really caught my attention, and I was very pleased with it. This movie tries to do something different, many people may say it is the same as all slasher films, but this ''girlhouse'' thing is something I had never seen before, and it was very entertaining. The killer was creepy af, they definitely payed homage to the Texas chainsaw massacre because when the killer wore the mask it was extremely similar. Nonetheless, it has its flaws of course, it could have been pulled off smarter, this movie doesn't escape from some clichés, like knocking the killer out and instead of just finishing him, they just run away and hide, I mean they filmed a hammer he had attached to his back, she could have grabbed it and just killed him right there; also, some of the acting could have been better, but I really enjoyed this film, the main character was likable and not stupid, actually, there weren't that many stupid moves in this film, would watch it again, totally.

An entertaining slasher film, GirlHouse was probably made for a small budget but you can't tell as it is well shot/produced with decent enough acting by all involved. Ali Cobrin is very likable as the requisite "Final Girl" and there is actually a well-executed romantic subplot between Cobrin and a childhood friend that elevates the film, giving it another dimension beyond the killer slashing his way through the cast. Loverboy is effectively creepy with his pull on mask with it's female face and long hair. He reminds me somewhat of Frank Zito in Maniac as far as how crazy he is. There are some effective scares and creepy atmosphere going on and some of the effects are really well done, even though it's not a gore fest it has it's gory moments. Some of the deaths are really creative. I enjoyed it much more than I expected and I would recommend it to slasher film lovers.

Seen some reviews and noticed the ratings. As far as I am concerned, they don't do justice to this film. Is it a cheap-teen-slash-B-film? Don't think so. Good story, good acting, good end. Iam not going to spoil anything, but feel that I have to do bring balance in some other weird reviews, realizing that everyone is entitled to his own opinion. The killer does have a very clear motive and background. You can see that in the very beginning of the film. The killer his job is not a weird job, and his hobby at home is not weird. His knowledge is not far fetched, and basically he would be the perfect real live profile of a serial killer. Don't expect a cheap and bloody slash film. The film is very well balanced as a thriller with some very bloody moments. But nothing overdone here like. It's easy to get into the film with the intentions of the GirlHouse being very clear. Nothing disguised, but clearly not a * film. The love/romantic bits in it are genuine. The violence and bloody moments are well proportioned. No exceeding and long winding screaming. No wrong doors with no where to hide scenes that every human being would avoid. The "scary" scenes are well timed. Not too long and not too short. Just enough to keep your attention. All escapes, whether they succeed or not, are perfectly acted. No unnatural behavior in this. Finally a slash film we enjoyed. Lots of tension, lots of gorgeous woman, an environment in which half the world can find (him)self. A film you can identify with. A film that is realistic enough. Definitely worth an 8.

Do you know that movie that, when it finishes, you go like: "woah... how could they get money for that?"? This is that movie! I can't say the idea behind it was that bad; I mean, it has that whole "who might be watching you" behind it and all that debate about anonymity while online on the Internet... "who might be creeping on the Internet" kind of thing. But, wow! Just, wow...! Though acting is regular and Slaine does a really good job performing that whole tormented psychopath, the overall movie is terrible! Credibility is something important in a movie. Specially when it's all set in reality (things are real and could happen in real life). What I mean is that some scenes will make you go like: "naah, that totally wouldn't go like that in real life", or "things don't work like that on reality". Overall, it's an attempt on a slasher horror flick that went totally downhill!

"Girl House" has been called a slasher film for the digital age. The theme was done to death before the turn of the Millennium, though here there is a new twist, a couple of dudes are watching the carnage live on-line but are unable to warn the victims as one by one they are done to death by a disgruntled weirdo who has been driven into a frenzy by a cruel joke. Actually, it wasn't that cruel, but stranger things have happened in real life. In March 2014, a woman was given a 12 year sentence at Snaresbrook Crown Court after throwing acid in the face of a former friend. Mary Konye went to incredible lengths, disguising herself as an Orthodox Moslem woman, totally veiled, tailed her victim from the Underground station, and then attacked her. The motive was a throwaway remark that most people would have forgotten within a day or two if not an hour or two. Here it is not a remark but a caption on a photograph that unhinges a guy who although clearly highly intelligent is not exactly good looking, and is somewhat lacking in social skills, not to mention short tempered. Okay, this dude is not just mad, he's insane because there are better things to do with a houseful of nubile young things than murder them, but if this tale has a moral it is never be unkind to anyone, even by accident. Or alternatively, once you knock the bad guy down with a golf club or a hockey stick, hit him again, and again, and again, and again...

Do not listen to anything negative about this movie. Yes like almost every horror movie it has flaws but that doesn't stop it from being entertaining. Sure it won't be winning any awards but that doesn't mean a thing. It's part voyeuristic part throwback 80's slice n dice 'em with T&A and enough storyline to keep the movie going at a decent pace. GIRL HOUSE! I thought the killers mask was creepy enough alone. The lead (Ali Corbin) and her boyfriend(Adam DiMarco) definitely kept the movie "believable"...best $12.99 I spent on a horror movie in a long time! It has a few quasi famous faces in it as well. OK OK OK I'm gong to stop blabbering now and let you see for yourself.
