A relevant movie even today . Anil and Shatrughan are close freinds belonging to the Thakur clan. They wile away their time playing , gambling for various reasons . When Anil falls in love with Moushmi, her father David flatly refuses to get her married to a gambler. Thanx to her brother Jagdish's advice she does get married to Anil as she too likes him. She tries to redeem him but fails . She takes it in her stride and goes about her domestic duties . Shatrughan falls in love wtih Kumud and wants to marry her but Anil refuses saying he has no good points other than being born in a rich family. This hurts Shatrughan and he challenges Anil for a duel in gambling .Anil loses everything . Shatrughan says if he can get married to his sister Kumud Chugani , then his property will be returned back. Paralelly , Kumud is in love with the local flower plantation owner Soodesh Kumar . A lot of tears, fights , quarrels later ,Shatrughan realises his mistake and returns Kumud back to her family . Moushmi gets a meaty role and utters a lot of meaningful dialogues against the evils of gambling . Anil fits the role of a carefree gambler scion and later the remorse when he realises his mistake by losing everything to gambling . A fine movie even today.
