This documentary made me laugh, cry, and run through practically every emotion I know of. The fierce honesty of Justin and everyone around him is just amazing. I know it was difficult for him to let go of any control over this, but had he not, it would not be the masterpiece it is. Thank yo for this. I believe it will be a Godsend to so many who suffer from mental illness and addiction.

Every single one of my heart strings was plucked by this documentary. I watched it on my phone with headphones in walking around my house. I clutched at my heart, danced, cringed, laughed, & cried. This band is my heart and has been for 15 years. Foiled saved my life when I was in active addiction as it was the only thing I could connect to on a deep level. The full story of the bands beginning, near destruction, and rebirth is beautiful! Much love to all the band members, families, and everyone involved in the making of this film It's everything!

This is the story of a band with an incredible talent to reach people through their songs, their lyrics & their awesome live performances. Justin has always openly shared his struggles with mental illness from a young age, but now coupled with drug addiction, he was heading down a road travelled by MANY of those in the entertainment industry. But Justin's story is different. This movie shows you how it all happened and the many struggles & challenges that he faced along the way. I laughed, cried, and was inspired by this film. I have a whole new respect for the band, Blue October, and what they all have been through, only to come out even better than they were, in the end.

Even for people who have never heard the music of Blue October, this documentary is a tremendous story of the battle with drug addiction, mental illness, hurting the ones you love, and hurting yourself. It tells the story of a man battling some truly horrible demons but with the love and support of his family, and through his music, is able to "Get Back Up" and find the good in life. Justin Furstenfeld and the band Blue October may not be as known as Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones, but they are a band that connects with there fans in honest and pure ways like no other band does. This movie is a testament to the honesty the band shares with their fans and it is the reason for that connection.

I thought the doc was pretty good. It had lots of old footage. I am surprised that it dealt so little with his mental health problems. A major focus on his drug problems...but nothing on his presecribed meds for his mental health. Its a piece of the puzzle that was left out IMHO. I watched a special preview of the Doc at home before the release. I watched it with a room of NON-fans. They enjoyed it too. I think that is a plus.

Justin is such an inspiration to all. Watching such a personal story and watching his and the bands transformation really add new light to their music. Sheading light on mental illness has always been the goal of Blue Octobers and Justin's music but this sheads a whole new and relatable light. I can't wait to see what's around the corner for Justin and Blue October.

Justin's story and the support system he has behind him is unlike anything. This documentary will be informational, educational, show the mental toughness and support of humans, and will make you laugh, cry and everything in between. As a Blue October fan, I knew some of this story but not all, questions I once had were answered in this documentary as well.
Justin, the band, and his family, are great people who rallied behind him when things got tough and rough.
We can all appreciate his story and learn to walk in someone else's shows before casting any stones.

Very good production. Seems to miss some opportunities to discuss the mental illness more. Time may have been the reason.
