Title: "Ribbit-tastic Fun: Frog Kingdom - The Croak-tastic Cinematic Masterpiece!" Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round, for I am about to take you on an epic journey into the world of cinematic genius that is "Frog Kingdom." Move over, Oscar winners, because there's a new sheriff in town, and he's got webbed feet and a penchant for pond puns. First things first, the plot of "Frog Kingdom" is so complex, you might need a degree in amphibian studies to fully grasp it. Picture this: a frog prince named Freddie is on a quest to save his love, a frog princess named Frog Princess. Yes, you heard that right-Frog Princess. Who needs a backstory when you have a name like that? Now, imagine this royal couple being threatened by the evil and rather unimaginatively named toad, Bog the Villain. Bog the Villain, folks. I bet he majored in villainy in evil college. But wait, it gets better! To save the day, Freddie teams up with a neurotic turtle, a wise old beetle, and a chameleon who's seen it all (literally). Together, they embark on an adventure so thrilling that even Indiana Jones would be jealous. Now, let's talk about the CGI. "Frog Kingdom" boasts visuals so lifelike that you'll find yourself wondering if they secretly filmed frogs for this movie. The underwater scenes are so immersive that you might want to bring a snorkel to the theater just in case. The dialogue? Pure poetry. At one point, Freddie utters the immortal line, "I love you, Frog Princess, like a fly loves a lily pad." Move over, Shakespeare, because "Frog Kingdom" just redefined romance. And the music? It's like John Williams and Beethoven teamed up for an amphibious symphony. The froggy chorus scenes are so toe-tappingly catchy that you'll leave the theater croaking to your heart's content. But what truly sets "Frog Kingdom" apart is its deep philosophical undercurrents. It grapples with timeless questions, like "What's the meaning of life when you're a frog?" and "Can a frog be a hero without wearing a cape?" These questions will leave you pondering long after the credits roll. In conclusion, "Frog Kingdom" is not just the best movie ever made; it's a leap forward in cinematic history. It's a tale of love, heroism, and amphibians that will have you ribbiting with laughter and shedding tadpole tears. So grab your froggy friends and hop on over to the theater-this is one croak-tastic adventure you won't want to miss!

Super animation, but disjointed in places. Good characters, but overall lacks the fluidity of other films.

This movie seemed like it started in the middle. It felt abrupt to me. I watch tons of kid movies with my 2 kids, but I couldn't sit through this one. Besides the questionable acting, the sound was really strange. Maybe it's just the On Demand version from Comcast, but the voice track sounded louder than it should be and like a Prue-edited version. Like when the actors were watching it and recording their parts. The background music was very quiet so the movie seemed oddly quiet at times. It was really distracting. The animation was fine, but I would not pay $5.99 to rent it On Demand again. My kids barely watched it too. It's rare that a straight-to- video movie is very good anyways.

This is a bad film. The characters and story are very poorly developed even for a kids film. There is quite a lot of needless arguing and fighting between the friends in the film which really sets a poor example for small children and made the relationships seem very strange between the characters. The animation doesn't add to the experience and there are a number of times when the movement of characters looks very unnatural. Mouth movements look like the film was probably made for the Chinese market and simply dubbed into English. Probably the worst thing about the movie is some cringe worthy dialogue and action, which for a small kids film is often inappropriate. This includes one overweight female character being called a "chubbo" and another character asking one "Are you tripping?". There is also a scene where a male character marches in 3 girls hitting them with a bar to keep them in line. This ain't Toy Story. Do your kids a favour and give it a miss.

Positive: Animation quality was good, but not great. Negatives: 1. Most notably the actors chosen for English voice over were both mismatched to their characters and just plain robotic and boring. 2. Dialogue was just as bad; pointless without meaning or feeling and with no direction (conveying storyline/plot convincingly); didn't seem to have a targeted audience in mind either to young viewers or broadly intelligent enough for all ages; the worst was not being synced to the characters mouth movements which turned out to be an irritating distraction. 3. Animation quality as mentioned above was good but it also had the distracting quality of being too much (too misdirecting) in each scene making it difficult to focus on the central character's actions each moment. 4. Nothing creative in the storytelling: the usual princess doesn't want to be married, especially to the many unlikeable suitors; just wants to freely follow her own dreams but then, of course, one suitor is a little different from the rest which could affect her plans. The usual evil adversary to add an antagonist to the story which didn't turn out very believable.

Where do i even begin, i was in a bad place in life and looking for an opportunity to give up. That was of couse until i stumbled upon this magical wonder. This film alone has changed the way i look at films and since watching this in 2013 upon release i have yet to find something that gives me a buzz like this did. When watching this film i feel like im floating, its like an out of body experience as the characters are so well written it feels like im entering a brand new world. The first time i ever watched Frog Kingdom (2013) i didn't shower for 3 weeks due to my state of shock, or to put it lightly, addiction. I proceeded to watch the movie 28 times back to back with no breaks not even for food or water as my eyes hung out of my skull from being sleep deprived however this wasnt going to stop me. The film contains a vast array of sex scenes to keep you on the edge of your seat and and gives you a true peep-hole into the dark world of slavery that is the Frog Kingdom. *SPOILER* The scene that left me in a powerful state of shock was when a large frog appears to crush the skull of a younger frog like childsplay leaving a painting of blood, guts and other assorted organs, tissues and bodily fluids all over canvas. The animation quality can be descibed simply as divine, Nelson "God" Shin has graced the earth with an exicitng and magical artstyle the likes of which has never been seen before. This film is just unparralelled when compared to the likes of the Star Wars franchise putting it on a whole other level. The voice acting of Frog Kingdom caused me to break through my screen. This was because whilst watching the film i became so emmersed that i believed that i was inside the cruel Frog Kingdom. When the main character Princess Froglegs was taken hostage and held for ransom i broke through my screen because i needed to save her from the devastating things she was about to be exposed to.

Everytime my 8 year old decides to watch this, I want to drill a hole into my head. The animation is "meh", clearly dubbed from its original language, and lacks imagination. The voice acting is emotionless, poorly timed, and at times feels like lines were made up for the sake of filling space. The script and story line are repetitive and utterly predictable. The plot goes on without building any secondary characters or plot interest. Everytime it's on, it feels like a 20 minute show that's been stretched into 3 hours. There's not even a morale to the story or lesson to learn. My kids don't have discriminating tastes, but I will say that most of the shows they watch at least try. This is a dumpster fire in action and I can't think of a bigger waste of time.

Even though this movie was originally made for a Chinese audience, it was a rare moment that you could tell. This was by far the very best movie I have ever had the pleasure of watching. The sound mixing is the first thing I have to compliment. I really appreciated the texture of the sounds, for example at the end of the froggy Olympics with everyone cheering, you could not hear anyone but the main characters. This was genius because it really brought you into the surreal experience of victory that they must have been feeling. There are many other examples of this brilliance but you will have to watch to see them! Next I want to compliment the voice acting. The passion with which these actors said their lines was thrilling. I could tell there was a commitment to quality that these actors would not give up on! As for the story, what can I say. No movie has ever had me crying so uncontrollably one minute and laughing hysterically the next. Not since classics like Gone with the Wind or movies like the Star Wars Saga have I seen such masterful writing paired with an excellent on screen performance. To end this review I would not that both DreamWorks and Disney Pixar could learn a lot from this movie, both on the animation front and the story front. Thank you Frog Kingdom for making my life once again worth living!

Frog Kingdom is one of those movies that wants you to focus on the dialogue, not the action. I can tell that because the lip-syncing makes me want to hurl violently. However, the animation and modeling is quite smooth and the plot isn't that bad. Another con that I have is the jokes. A drunken uncle tells better jokes than this movie does. And this movie tells them a LOT. I would look at the bright side, but I can't when the characters are saying bad puns with lips that look like a sphincter trying to squeeze out a solid brick. I got so carried away that I actually destroyed my copy of this movie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9yrEP-6fcs). Don't buy this movie.
