Let's face it, if you're going to rent one of the later movies in a slasher movie series, you'd be an idiot to expect high art. The fact that this is the tenth movie in the Friday the 13th franchise, the most knuckle-draggingly, ball-scratchingly cretinous 'horror' series of all time AND it's set in space doesn't exactly suggest that this'll be an all-time classic, but it's a good fun way to kill an hour and thirty minutes nonetheless. Okay, the plot is so thin even a slight breeze would make it disintegrate and the horror element is practically non-existent but then Jason movies abandoned that long ago in favour of just providing dumb escapism with inventive and bloody death scenes, which this film certainly provides. People are sliced in half, impaled on large spikes, blown up, one poor woman even getting her head dunked in liquid nitrogen and shattered on a desk, but the characters are so one-dimensional and it's so cheesy you're more likely to laugh than scream. And I defy you to watch the scene when Jason gets transformed into 'Uber Jason' for the first time and not have a colossal grin traverse your face. There's even a later scene which pokes fun at the earlier movie's clichés with a hilarious "beating one camper to death with the other" sequence. This is not The Exorcist, it's not The Omen, it's even a very long way away from the original Friday The 13th, but as director James Isaac has said, "it's just fun." Get your mates round, pop open a beer, disengage brain and you've got a very entertaining ninety minutes.

I know alot of people love this one. But besides some clever homages and one cool ass death scene with liquid nitrogen it all plays out like an overly mediocre episode of andromeda which makes sense because so many people from the show are responsible for this. The plot is unimportant but basically Jason is frozen and than thawed out in the future aboard a space ship where he wreaks havoc. The FX are okay and the characters are mostly unlikable and annoying aside from the retro leading lady and Kane Hodder of course. It's not a terrible movie I especially enjoyed the 80s sleeping bag scene but I do feel like it's the weakest of the series. The uber Jason design is cool but unnecessary and the fact that they're aware their making a bad movie is i believe its biggest problem. Because instead of avoiding those pitfalls it becomes what it's making fun of. 2.5/5

As a Friday the 13th Fan, this was the film I surprisingly watched the most of. It may not be good as everyone says it's not, but this is such a fun movie and I binge watch this one in particular to the rest for the creative kills and the fun scenes. Also, I love the idea the upgraded Jason Voorhees!

Ok, I've been a fan of past Jason films and always wondered how they could show cooler death scenes of stupid people. This movie does that. Only thing I wish is that when Jason is rebuilt they should of had a rocking fight scene and death scenes to the music from the trailer, Let the bodies hit the floor. That would of made it better.

Jason Voorhees is finally captured by the U.S. government and held at the Crystal Lake Research Facility. They can't find a way to kill him. Scientist Rowan LaFontaine (Lexa Doig) decides to freeze Jason in cryogenic suspension. Jason escapes and Rowan is just able to freeze both him and herself. 455 years later a scientific team returns to a desolate earth and finds the frozen bodies. They bring the two on their ship, but the reanimated Jason just can't stop killing. This movie borrows heavily from Alien, Blade Runner and many others. It just does it without the tension or style. It is cheesy camp. The only good thing is that director James Isaac knows it. He's made a hopeless B-movie with a high cheese factor.

This is definitely one of the best Friday Movies. It's the least New Line Cinema could do after releasing the bad Jason Goes to Hell. This is nothing like Leprechaun 4 or Hellraiser:Bloodlines. This is just basically your standard Jason slasher, only difference is, is that it takes place on a spaceship and he gets an upgrade. The cyborg Jason only lasts for about 20 minutes of the movie, so don't get too excited. But overall, its great, just wish the writers would give some explanation or take off from the Friday film before.

Jason X is the worst scary movie of all-time. I honestly laughed more than I was afraid. This film is embarrassing, to say the least. I would comment on how awful the ending was, but I left 30 minutes into the film. Though consistently the same, "the Jason films" have always been some-what satisfying, but this film is a disgrace to scary movies of all kinds. I've seen * with more satisfying acting, and story lines than Jason X. I honestly feel sorry for anyone who was even tempted to cover their eyes at one point in this film. I soon discovered what the ending was, but I'm not going to tell you because it was so embarrassing, I just can't go on with this review. Awful.
