Personally, I think a mere 3.8 rating is very mean. I found the movie to be hilarious throughout, with fantastic puns and gags. The acting was very good, with Richard Alan Reid (playing the lead 'Elliot') and Brendan Michael Coughlin (playing the dumb, frat-boy 'Joey') standing out. Granted, the story was a bit contrived; Elliot graduates from university to find out that his mother has got engaged to an American lover. However, the movie comes across as lighthearted and undemanding to the viewer. Also, Frat Pack (to it's praise) also had very little in terms of pop-culture references. I feel that movies can often be too forced with topics, like social media and technology. However, to my surprise, there was very little in that sense. The only area where the movie lacked would be the character development. All the characters were kind of thrown in front of you with their weird quirks, with anticipation that you already knew them. The reason movies, like American Pie, were so good was because they allowed the viewer to build an emotional connection with the characters whilst keeping the humour and lightheartedness. Frat Pack just felt a little bit too cold in this sense. I would have liked to get to know each character a little better and for the relationship dynamic to be more natural. If you're into lighthearted, coming-of-age movies; Frat Pack is worth the watch

So boring I couldn't watch to the end. I congratulate myself for watching more than half the movie - it has a reasonable premise it does nothing much with. Some good actors in a dull script. The road trip stumbles through unfunny jokes and ridiculous stereotypes. Just say no.

There's nothing sophisticated here and some of the humor is a little old, but generally if you're in the mood for a daft romantic movie with very good acting, I'd recommend you give it a go.

Elliot (Richard Alan Reid) is an unemployed British graduate who gets roped into going to scenic Bismark, North Dakota by his over sexed mother (Beverly D'Angelo). His mother is going to marry an American named Michaelson (Kevin P. Farley- Resurrecting the Beverly Hills Ninja). Elliot goes on a road trip from Bismark to Boulder, Co. for a frat party and meets a girl. This is basically a teenage sex party film without teenagers or nudity. The humor is crude and at times tries too hard for laughs as with the TVs. Joey (Brendan Michael Coughlin) provided us with the best lines as well as the worst. Elizabeth De Razzo was a wasted character and the film might have been better off without the chubbies. Danny Trejo had a small, but speaking part befitting of his character. Worth passing over for something else. Guide: F-word. Sex. No nudity.

I don't understand all the negative reviews here. The film is enjoyable in a TV movie kind of way. Not a must see, but not a "I will never get that 1.5 hours back" film either. If you don't know what to watch, just watch this. Enjoyable. One more thing though... Why is Danny Trejo so prominent on the poster? His role is two minutes... if that?

The acting is very good, Especially Brendan Coughlin.. The comedy is above average, I mean it is not very high and Not low It is above the dividing line. I liked the strange dialogues, With the owners of various shops. The film for the young age group, Who are looking for fun and cynical lifestyles. Of course I am one of them, but with my rules.

I love a good comedy movie, and Frat Pack delivers. The movie takes you on a wild journey with lots of hilarious surprises along the way. The cast is great! I especially enjoyed Kevin Farley as the Dad and as a pitch perfect fan it's cool to see Hannah Mae lee in something else. Personally I wish more movies were made like this that are just fun to watch.

I'm 52 years old, I remember movies like Animal House, Porkeys, Caddyshack, Police Academy ect, movies that weren't meant to make you think, not meant to win awards, just meant to make you laugh. I've missed those kind of movies! Everything is so damn PC these days people are afraid to joke about things, jokes are funny, enjoy them, laugh and forget your troubles for an hour or so. This movie accomplishes that. I can honestly say I enjoyed it from start to finish! I thought all the acting was good, sure the story has been done before but thats why it works. And Farley..... I didn't even know Chris had a brother. He is eerily like him! The tip of the hat with his karate was great! All I could think of was "in a van..... down by the river!" Made me smile. Heck I'd watch it again, not a lot of movies I say that about.

Okay maybe I have a silly sense of humor but this is a really funny film. Like really funny. I havent laughed a movie as much as this in a long time. the characters are amazing and acting is good. There's all kinds of comedy... awkward... stupid.... rude... clever. Movies like this are not made enough. Oh and TBag is in it as a drug dealer! And Danny Terejo!

Good acting and a few hillarous parts made up for some of the dumber jokes. A solid 6.1. Is it just me or does Chris Farley's brother try to hard to be like him????
