A spanish horror flick that reflects viral video culture.
It could have been great. Gore effects was excellent. Other than that, i have nothing good to say about it.
Starting scene was alright. Wife murdered cheating husband while being filmed by a psycho 'content creator'. Then comes the house party part where its dumb as turd. Friends being attacked by psycho 'content creators' and none of them had any self preservation instinct (as they all dont in many horror films).
Goin outside to check out the situation ALONE.... makes no sense.
The house is so easily breached... like the straw house of three little pigs.
When killer gets in, everyone scattered like they are playing hide and seek.
When captured, they become submissive... even when the killers does even have any firearm.
Drugs that controls people's mind like zombies.
Network TV allowing violence to be streamed.
Anyone interested to see how bad it is, by my guest. After that you will learn to appreciate much better horror flicks like You're Next, Green Room or Rec.

This movie is just another "reality based" run of the mill teen scream blah, blah movie. Very low budget and low brow.

Frame or their minds? Or maybe even both? Who am I to judge? Especially when there seems a lot of people have judged otherwise (not on imdb, but considering the nominations and awards this got here) ... And while I do like spanish thrillers and horror movies, this felt a bit "run of the mill" as at least one other reviewer stated.
Good effects overall and visually more than ok. But characters are annoying as hell, have a combined IQ of ... not so much and the story is full of holes/nonsense. Now the last part you may be able to forgive. And I have seen worse movies than this - but I've seen way better movies too, so ...

I had the opportunity to see this movie at the Portland horror film festival and I have to say that it's definitely in my top three horror films of all time. I appreciate home-invasion movies the most, and this one isn't afraid to be absolutely brutal. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD or be released to other theaters near me so that I can see it multiple times, as the main antagonist is to die for. In terms of creativity, you don't get too much of it in the horror genre, which is becoming a bit stale for my tastes as of late, but this one is refreshing. It manages to take something that we've known as an audience and bring twists to it so that it's able to stand on its own and compete with some of the more commercialized and funded films that are out now.

Saw this at Buried Alive Film Fest in Atlanta this weekend. Holy $#!+. Brutal, frightning, and has so much to say about social media. I don't think I ever need to see it again. But everyone should see it once.

This cross between Clockwork Orange, Videodrome, and Strange Days depicts YouTube culture's race-to-the-bottom competition to broadcast the most extreme content for the highest ratings. The opening scene alone will have you riveted to your seat before the opening credits even start. The film's production quality exceeds its limited budget, with stomach-churning makeup effects that hearken torture * standard-bearers like the Saw and Hostel movies. Filmmaker Marc Martínez Jordán has a bright future.
