This is horrible, morbidly annoying. This movie is nonsense. BUT BUT !!! It makes you believe that, without any experience, you can be a way better director.
I still can't believe this movie is a Hollywood product.
I would give -10/10, but unfortunately 1 is the least I can give.

Horrible plot, bad acting, and predictable "twist". I had a difficult time even finishing the movie.

I just don't understand why Mel was in this movie!! Please someone explain why he would even think of acting in such a horrible movie.
There is nothing good about this movie.

Force of Nature doesn't work, it's like you're coming in at the end of the film off the bat. Mel Gibson's in a secondary and limited role. Hirsch's character doesn't even acknowledge how lucky he is to be paired with this eager beauty, nor do the criminals for that matter either. Dexter's David Zayas as the main villain. Lots of action sequences and random occurrences, with thin underdeveloped characters. The acting's subpar as well.

I'll start off by giving props to Mel Gibson, for not ending up like Bruce Willis doing garbage C-grade films, e.g. Survive the Night (2020).
As for this film, wow it must've been a challenge for the cast and crew to film 80% in pouring rain, and mad props for that. It made the interesting stories' premise a little more tense, and I'm sure a nightmare for director Michael Polish.
The 91 min runtime was just right and the pacing was perfect. My biggest issue are the plot and technical issues in the writing that could've so easily been fixed/avoided. E.g. let's all have funny small talk whilst there's killers looking for you. Quite frankly, the screenplay - the first every writing credit for amateur writer Cory Miller, is impressive for a newbie, but the flaws were so easily fixable. I'm sure Gibson would've had them fixed in 15 mins of proofreading the script.
Aside from that, the cinematography was excellent, the score very fitting, and the casting just right. It's always great to see David Zayas as the bad guy, and the gorgeous Kate Bosworth sure is easy on the eyes. Taking into account a newbs first writing credit and cutting him some slack, it's a well deserved 7/10 from me. To see more of my 1000+ ratings and 900+ reviews, click on my username

Love him or hate him, Mel Gibson always gives 100% in whatever he does.
And he is the only reason to watch this typical Emmett/Furla time-wasting action picture. Here, subbing for Bruce Willis who usually is the nominal "star" of these poorly-written & directed tax write-offs, Mel does his best as an ex-NYC cop trying to stop a group of bad guys robbing a run-down apartment block during a hurricane.
Whatever talent indy director Michael Polish one showed is now depleted as he puts his cast -- most of them looking like they're sleepwalking except for an earnest performance by Stephanie Cayo -- through the requisite 90 minutes of low budget thrills.
The question that needs to be asked is: With every other person in Los Angeles writing screenplays, why can't EF Films find something worth the time and effort? Why waste talented people on such schlock?

This movie is terrible. Couldn't even finish it. Thought it had enough names in it to be decent, but it's not. Hard pass.
