Wooden acting? Check. Ridiculous premise? Check. Nonsensical decisions made by nearly every character? Also yes. This is like a high school drama club was given too large of a budget and decided "cars and * are cool!" and built random scenes around that. This was a complete waste of time, not even deserving a "so bad it's good" accolade. I have seen films with nearly no budget outperform every aspect of Fog City in every way. This is the definition of someone being provided funding that should have NEVER been given money to make a film. I feel like our current movie cycle is getting close to the direct-to-video quality we experienced in the 80's. A few diamonds in the rough, but mostly barely-watchable garbage.

The film opens with two waitresses in schoolgirl outfits. Georgia Paige (Victoria Konefa) is wealthy and plans on attending Georgetown after graduation. Her parents own a factory on the island and have money. Georgia owns a Lambo which she lets her friend Reegan (Cody Kennedy) drive. A group of these high school seniors got to Reegan's uncle's house to party. While they are there, a tornado siren goes off as orange smoke heads their way from the plant. They guess the smoke is deadly and can cause zombie infections or make one crazy. They end up sheltering in place. A couple gets caught outside and is not allowed in as they may infect everyone else. Blake (Reese Mishler) has a gun. Georgia is still a virgin (final girl qualification) and refuses to have sex with her boyfriend ( Connor Weil) on their last night on Earth. Things get weird when her best friend Reegan offers Georgia's boyfriend sex. The orange fog seeps in as they believe Georgia snaps. I loved the ending of the film. Things got a little silly and weird. Guide: F-word. Sex. Nudity (Brianne Cordaro, Cody Kennedy)

This is one of those 'lets get all women in the film either topless or in a pushup bra' types. What attracted me was that this said there was no CGI. After watching it, it really didn't need any CGI - it's just fog and some blood. People get trapped in a house by the fog - the fog doesn't do anything, but they think it will so they barricade themselves in and, well, weird things happen. Not really weird, they just kind of go crazy. They definitely had a drone, because they have too many drone shots, but I don't think any tripods were used and at times, the lighting just washes everything out. I would choose another moving if you're looking for a horror flick.

I want to start off by saying if you're into the slasher horror genre this isn't a bad watch. Unlike other reviews I didn't feel it was a waste of time nor did I become uninterested. The movie doesn't fit into the "fog movie" genre as it is titled which worked out well for me as most of those movies sucked imo. This is definitely more of a I Spit on Your Grave or X type of movie as the proposed protagonist turns into an OP antagonist literally in front of your eyes. However spoiler alert, what I do agree with is you're left with more unanswered questions than a Valentines Day breakup. The plot holes may have alot to do with this as there's really not enough explanation as to why people are turning on each other to such a murderous extreme. Especially once you figure out the fog isn't a contributing factor. The characters stupidity knows no bounds and your left wandering how they've managed to exist this long without incident. I honestly believe this is something the writers chose to sacrifice as its normal for stupidity to be used to push the plot along in these types of movies. Big spoiler alert!!! Most movies within this genre you develop at least an iota of empathy for the new antagonist but I empathized more with Freddy Krueger than I did with Georgia. At least he had a viable motive. This girls rage is literally fueled by her being teased for being a spoiled rich girl whose family owns a mysterious plant and her bf "sleeping" with her best friend after she gives them an albeit emotional green light. This did come after an epic (best part in the movie) life lesson rant by Reegan that contained more substance and believability than this whole entire script. This sends her into a murderous rage and at least for one scene turns her into WWE's Undertaker... lmao. She managed to get 7 kills none of which were in self defense turning her into the 100% antagonist who would literally give Michael Myers a run for his money, and kill him in Halloween Ends. She becomes stupid OP for no reason and I for one find it hard to empathize with an enraged rich girl who drives a Lamborghini and looks like a Kardashian. In closing Fog City isn't a bad watch. It's entertaining and provides visuals that are definitely easy on the eyes. I would watch it again and would totally recommend it for any fan of the Revenge Slasher genre. Even where the plot lacks the director does a good job of redirecting your attention to what they want you to see. A hot chick brutally killing people in a school girl uniform... the end!

Snoozefest at best, why oh why was this happening? The only redeeming quality about this movie was the soundtrack. The special effects were ok. Fog city dissipates as you're watching this movie and so will you into slumber as you are watching it. What a silly premise of hysteria and survival. So much paranoia in one film, all you can ask while you are shaking your head is people really this stupid. Writers need to make horror movies more believable than the viewer can empathize with the main character better. These group of friends made all the wrong choices and it left you feeling like can this movie hurry up and go off, I have to clean the toilet.

This movie shows you that deep down anyone can become a killer when in a state of despair and survival. A group of wealthy high school teens spend a weekend together at an isolated beach house before they all graduate and leave their island community. On the island is a mysterious closed down power plant. When an alarm sounds and an eerie orange fog rolls in, the friends believe it is coming from the plant. So they begin to panic and quickly sink into survival mode. They believe that if you've been exposed to the fog, that you are now infected. But these spoiled teens use that as a method of seeking revenge upon each other and soon a series of brutal murders begin. This one has sudden and gory violence with plenty of blood splatter to go around. The revelation at the end is the best part, when you actually find out what is behind the sirens and the fog. Paranoia and despair seem to be the main themes presented in this one and it quickly shows what it can do to you. Looked like they mostly used practical effects in this one for the kill scenes and they were surprisingly well done. Fans of scantily-clad teens running around drenched in blood, will enjoy this one!

And try to star in a horror movie... it doesn't go very well. The acting is bad, the directing is weird, and the whole idea has already been done multiple times. Fog takes over a town and makes people go crazy. Fog takes over a town and brings monsters. Fog takes over a town and everyone dies. How many more fog movies need to be made? I really don't even know what would make this movie 'better'. Maybe in another decade, when there aren't a dozen 'fog' movies and TV shows. Maybe if there were better actors or a decent director... maybe. Idk. 1 star. Boring cliche movie. I'd rather watch Scary Movie for the dozenth time - at least those ones are funny and know not to take themselves too seriously.
