This is a masterpiece. From the "don't you eat my bananas" catchphrase, that will haunt the internet for time to come, to the astonishing ending, touching and illuminating the darkest corners of your soul. I have seen this movie about 10 times now, and i can safely say that this movie is in my top 1.5. In my many viewings i have discovered several nifty tricks, to make this wonderful movie experience, just a tad better. For example, playing Uncle Kracker's "follow me" backwards, while the voice-over is going on, in the intro, will do wonders! Try it! Also, replacing all the dialog (except the before mentioned catchphrase of course) with horrible screams, will really enhance this epic tale. After seeing this for the first time, you might be skeptic, about the fact that anything could be improved, and frankly, you're right. Still, test these suggestions before blindly discarding them. Now go watch it! And then again afterwards!

Sorry for this: I expected Moore... ;) I actually was expecting an action movie when I saw Roger Moore, but it was easy to tell in the first few minutes that this was not a pure action flick. There's plenty of action, but most of it seems like they just let a bunch of (albeit) good skiers, kayakers, parasailers, etc. go nuts while they filmed. The plot was a bit weak for allowing this kind of action to go on. The biggest disappointment though was the comedy. In places it was way too much and other places seemed to not go far enough. Anyway, it's worth a watch if you're an extreme athlete or like some cool stunts, but definitely not a keeper in my movie collection.

A Grand Tour of every known logo in Europe; from Pepsi Cola, through Perrelli Tyres, with Swatch thrown in. It's like the brakes they once had at the drive-in movies listing the items for sale at the concession stand, except in this case, the stand is the size of a continent. Curiously, the stunt work is VERY GOOD! If they had a half decent script, and lost most of those annoying logos, this could have been a really fun movie. So sad.

This was an amazing film. It encapsulated Roger's talent, dry wit, and smooth good looks in one deeply moving and original sports fest that reeks of immortality and timelessness. Simply stunning, and I will watch it for years to come. The main star of this film is not Roger, but his eyebrow. The eyebrow is smooth and delivers all the charisma of Roger. I don't think this film is about a zany sports megathon at all, think it is about the opression of our world and the bleakness of obscurity. Basicly, this film was.................completely perfect and the Special FX are the best I have seen in any film, even more so than Independance Day.

German comedy starring Roger Moore as a super rich industrialist who stages his own death in order to have his good for nothing children compete against his business partners for his fortune. Amusing up to a point but this is the sort of film you really can?t imagine anyone paying to see. I?m reasonably certain that this never played US theaters rather going straight to TV. Its glitzy, its glamorous and very European. I just wish it was funny. Not bad, as such, this is more the sort of thing that you?ll stumble across when you?re sick in bed and let wash over you rather than finding something more taxing. Fine if you stumble across it and nothing else is on, but otherwise there are better choices out there.

my roommate and i spent the evening watching this, and the stunts are great- the plot we didn't quite follow, but don't expect that to matter (we think the old guys had something to do with the plot). buzz aldrin's appearance, the musical number, zany mishaps, and many brightly colored costumes... all probably much more enjoyable when overtired or intoxicated

I was looking for this movie for 13 years. Somehow I didn't remember all the brands showed in the film but I remembered some gags. Sometimes it's just silly and the acting is bad but the stunts are the best I've ever seen. Despite the heavy placement product, If you look closely it's about corporate companies doing anything they can to win. In the climbing scene you can see one guy drilling the dam to climb up faster and win... It's a low quality movie but it's a better movie compared with most today's blockbusters.

Well, this is not academy awards material, but it is a movie that will make you feel good. Essentially it has a plot, some European product placement, lots of cameos, but the best part are the winter sports scenes. There is a competition going on and three half siblings need to overcome their differences to win the main prize against professionals, and they go to this gorgeous winter resort, and participate in very extreme sports (whose scenes are real footage and stunts, no tricks or special effects). There is a combination of adventure, comedy, action and documentary. If wish there were sequels It is all cheesy, tacky, the acting is passable, but the best word to describe this film is : fun. I guarantee that you will have a great time if you choose to watch it.
