Simple plot for this, man find a wallet calls the number inside and leaves his contact details. He gets nosey and checks the wallet, inside there is a lottery ticket and upon checking its the winner. His friends turn up for a game of poker then the man he left a message for turns up for his wallet. At this point there is a police emergency where nobody can leave the building, and at this point the story kicks off. There is a twist in the last seconds which I liked. The movie could easily have been 30mins long as the final 15mins were the main part however its a nice easygoing thriller.

I honestly loved this movie alot. Two of my favorite actors are in this movie Matthew Lillard and Ryan Reynolds. This movie was very good because of the actors, the suspense in it wondering what will happen next, and the story line was good also. What made this movie so good is that this is a story that can happen to anyone, imagine yourself walking down the street and finding someone's wallet what do you do? Well this is what the movie was entirely about. I had no expecations when I rented this movie but I must say after watching it once I had to watch a few more times. 10/10 movie

The whole scenario is contrived and predictable. This independent feature has a relatively well-known cast who do an adequate job with a one-act play concocted as if it were a two-week writing assignment from James Lipton (and it might have impressed HIM). Unconvincing, unenlightening, turgid little melodrama on modern ethics and greed. Simpleminded stuff.

What you'll get with "Finder's Fee" is 100 minutes inside an apartment with four poker buddies, a bus driver who has come to claim his lost wallet (JE Jones), a cop (Forster), and a couple of minutes of Carly Pope and an old lady. This claustrophobic journeyman drama is chock full of unnecessary filler including lots of lame guy talk, an annoying cop who keeps popping up for no apparent reason, and a $6 million lottery ticket. At issues is, of course, who's going to get the six mil? A marginal small screen watch which Tivo gave an unusually high three stars which suckered me into the film, "Finder's Fee" will require some serious dumbing down to avoid taking issue with the many likely possible outcomes in favor of an unlikely outcome contrived for entertainment value. Apparently a failed attempt to be a tight, dialogue intensive, character driven, one set drama (eg: The Big Kahuna, Glengarry Glen Ross, etc.), this flick is couch potato fodder. Turn brain off before viewing. (C+)

I thought this movie was fun and interesting, the story is simple, but the modern setting and the idea of the lottery ticket made it attention getting. For a movie with no great effects and sounds, i could not walk away while it was on....i did not want to miss the ending twist. Yes, the movie is predictable to the point that you new there would be a grab you ending, but I like expecting that and you never know who is at the door. The characters all had their own querkyness about them that draws you, as we can all relate to one of them. I give this movie two thumbs up and suggest everyone sit down and enjoy a simple yet interesting movie.

I talk about with my ex-fiancée how I enjoyed and used to go see movies and know there would be some good ones in the mix of what I saw at the theaters but for one and a half years it has been horrid but luckily while sitting at home late at night I caught much of the latter half of this movie. It is definitely worth a rental for someone and what is even better is that if there is some sort of special edition with Jeff Proebst talking about the movie he made well that would definitely be interesting. I wish the guy would show some guts and dump the money maker that is Survivor ,which is now only interesting if you are on the show, and make another movie. I think that attempt shows he has the talent to make something else. It was a real nice surprise to see that kind of ending and also a nice surprise to be shocked at who wrote and directed the movie.

I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. I just happened to stumble on "Finder's Fee". It's a 10+ for suspense. Anyone who likes good old fashion suspense will love this movie. In short, it's about a street artist who is put into an ethical dilemma after finding a wallet containing a $6 million winning lottery ticket. He returns the wallet. But does he return it in tact? Does he return the wallet empty, keeping the ticket? Does he tell his friends? The suspense in "Finder's Fee" just keeps building and building until the climactic ending. I have to applaud the writing, screen play, actors and directing. It was all perfect. And everyone was perfectly cast. I'd like to believe that Alfred Hitchcock himself would have been pleased with "Finder's Fee".
