If I was in a movie theater, I would have walked out. I got up from the couch and did the dishes. The production looks like something from Middle School. The acting is weak at best. The young daughter's singing was the only redeeming part to the movie...that and the Greek Isle scenery and there's not enough of that. I expected to see a much better performance from Harry Connick and even his singing was mediocre. The film has a few cute moments but certainly not enough to build a movie off of. There are so many good movies out there to choose from, don't waste your time with this one. My wife said she couldn't stop watching kind of like you can't help but look at a car wreck.

I'm surprised by all the high ratings for this movie. I was looking for something lighthearted and funny and, based on the categorization on Netflix, I picked this. Forty minutes in, and I'm still waiting for the humor. The acting is awful. It's horrible. Even Harry is not up to his usual performance. But the native women are terrible actresses. There's not even enough gorgeous scenery to make me continue watching. The best part of the movie is the food. Finally, the storyline also resembles that of a book written by one of my favorite authors about a house on a cliff where people frequently commit suicide. It's not even an original plot. I wish I hadn't wasted 45 minutes of my life.

I wanted to like this I truly did. Cypress is a beautiful place. And I was in the mood for a good rom-com. Harry connick Jr I've seen before he was in a few guest starring roles I believe it was Will and Grace back in the day. Probably some other rules. The point being that I expected more from him. Instead it was really pretty one-dimensional he doesn't seem to have an emotional range and quite honestly doesn't seem to vary his contempt for pretty much everybody he meets. It gets tiring to watch a character like that. And then you wonder what ever was the chemistry between him and his former love interest. In any case my main point in coming here wasn't to trash the man it was to wonder who the heck is rating this stuff at a 10 or a 9 here? I find it inconceivable that those are legitimate reviews.

Years ago, John was rejected by the love of his life who decided he couldn't be tied down despite his assurances to the contrary. He went on with his life, had a successful career in music, but apparently never really moved on. He buys a home in Cyrprus where he left his old flame. She hid the existence of their daughter from him for her entire life. She lies to her daughter when she finally has the chance to get to know him. She jumps into bed with him with the intention of blowing him off after, is disingenuous with herself and others, misinterprets circumstances without any effort to hear him out on multiple occasions, continues to hold an unearned grudge against him, and ignores his heartfelt gestures. She submits to his advances when he has given up. Looks the start of a beautiful relationship? There was zero actual romance in this movie. Bad dialogue leaning on color cutter stereotypes. Zero chemistry between the love interests. Wooden acting, but I blame the script. This was no saving this mess.

Forget about all the other aspects of this movie that you may, or may not, like. The star of this movie is Cyprus, the beautiful Greek island invaded by and partitioned by the Turkish government in the 1970's. Its landscapes, culture, music, and actors are worth the price of admission here. The story of Harry Connick Jr's return to the island, as an aging American rock star, is very enjoyable. I don't love Connick's acting in this one. His attempts to be edgy are not really suited to him, but he is still a likable presence. The story is a Rom-com, with more emphasis on the Romance than the Comedy. It is enjoyable and I liked it.

I enjoyed this very much! The first slightly shocking moment let me wonder, hm, is this for me? Is this being too humorous with a very serious subject? But I gave it a shot, and did not regret it. It is an adult film, adults talking as adults, with a bit of comedy, but don't we have that in our everyday lives?! We jest to make things easier, because humour creates distance, and distance is a step away from the fire/inner turmoil. Yes, it is predictable. But it is part of the story, and NOT exploited or played with. There's a lot of grown-up honesty, and I liked that. The Greek (or Greek-speaking) actors were all great, all of them. Warm-hearted. Towards the end it gets a bit messy/convoluted with another side-plot and the female lead having second thoughts yet again, and his final decision is not clearly explained. But it doesn't matter. Fine entertainment, not cheesy at all. Spoiler alert: When he took the chair and sat in front of his door that night - very touching.

Find Me Falling is a 2024 Romance Drama starring Harry Connick Jr (who is the only actor I know in this film). The story follows John Altman a failed musician who moves to Cyprus and sees people near a cliff trying to commit suicide. Things take a turn when John meets a former flame of his who is now a single mother to a teenage girl. However is the teen girl John's daughter?. Now don't get me wrong I love romantic comedies and romantic dramas but this film was terrible it was like watching dry paint for 93 minutes. Harry Connick Jr is a good actor but a very good musician(as his being singing since 1989) but by god he was so bad in this film.
