I somewhat enjoy Bigfoot movies - even though most are absolutely heinous. FIELD FREAK is no exception. It's a boring, over-used storyline - and it has some of the worst acting I've ever seen in my life. Oddly, I couldn't tear myself away. I actually wanted to keep watching. Maybe I'm just out of it today. The Bigfoot costume is hilarious and horrible. Watch at your own risk.

How in the world did this movie Garner a 3 rating? There must have been a lot of shill reviews on here from the movie maker. This lead actor is the single worst actor I've ever seen in my life and that's with watching a lot of these garbage movies I say that. He is beneath the bottom of the barrel. Of all the movies I've watched with a low budget this is the worst costume for a creature in history...it looks like they went to Goodwill and and bought it. Its very loose. Doesnt fit and looks like a 12 year girl made it in home -ec class ...it is a national embarrassment ...this movie is horrendous. the dialogue, the writing, the illogic. Where do they find these horrible horrible actors to put in these movies? How do they get agents and a Sag card? How??? They are worse than High School actors in a school play. Wow

One part of me is simply bewildered that anyone would waste their time making this film. Then another part of me is simply bewildered that I would waste my time watching this film. I get that it's a spoof - but it's a really, really bad spoof. Really bad. And the thing is that it doesn't suck you in by starting out interesting or good or anything. You know from the start - from the very first lines of dialogue - from the very first moments - that this is bad, and that nobody in this can act. Not the family of three who are "terrorized" by this guy in a rubber monster costume. Not the old weird guy who runs a home made root beer stand. Not the pest control guy who's convinced that the family's dealing with a pack of rabid beavers. Nobody in this can act. Which is why they're all complete and total unknowns. I don't want to waste any more of my time by going into the "plot." Suffice to say that this is horrible. Just horrible. (1/10)

FIELD FREAK is a deliberately spoofy indie comedy horror flick with the usual cabin in the woods setting. There, a quirky family are harassed by a monster in the woods. Although this is supposed to be funny, it really isn't. It's utterly pathetic, featuring some of the worst acting I can remember seeing in a long time, a film completely without merit.

I don't know why they re-titled this in Germany, but it's called "Monster Outside" there. I mean yes, there is a "monster" outside, but Field Freak would have worked too, don't you think? But back to this and boy is this a freak. And to really like this, you have to be a "freak" too. Or a strange fellow if this is more to your liking. The movie here is really bad! So hopefully you didn't just see my rating and went "not helpful". If I was rating just the movie as it's quality, I should have given it a 1/10. But this is so mental, that it actually works. Just not as a horror movie, rather like a comedy. A not intended comedy. Ed Woods would be proud and not because it plays in the woods (lame joke you say? Wait until you see the movie and the "monster"!! ... just saying ...)
