I haven't scanned all the user reviews, and perhaps I'm missing some who've commented on the use of Henryk Gorecki's music during the final scenes of this film, from the moment Bridges' character eats the strawberries to the recap of the plane going down. The first movement of the Symphony of Sorrowful Songs (Gorecki's 3rd Symphony) is used extensively at the end and I can't imagine a more poignant and powerful combination of music and imagery. Where has this film gone? It's not even available on Netflix; release date is "unknown." I hope to find that it's available for purchase. Regardless, this is a film like no other I've seen and one that makes an incredible impression, even though by doing so it may not be watchable more than once or twice in a very long time.

Fearless is a real emotional movie. Jeff Bridges with the very big help of Isabella Rossellini act together perfectly well. So, the acting in the movie is a big plus. The way the story unfolds without telling too much towards the very kick at the end. Added a wonderful score, Fearless is the most beautiful flycrash theme movie thus far. The movie is special to me, if you see it one time, hope you find it special too.

I used to like Jeff Bridges as an actor. He had this aw shucks manner, self-effacing, gullible, not a devious bone in his body. I think his peak performance was in John Carpenter's Starman, especially his Alien's Interpretation of the Stones' "I Can't Get No Satisfaction". Perfect. A meme of its time. But then poor ole Jeff couldn't seem to shed his Starman persona. His speech mannerisms seemed to adapt themselves to some outer space diction. Then in 1993 along came Fearless & the creased brow, sad downturning eyes & the by this time highly refined aw-Shucks mannerisms get blown up as big as the moon, all for the sake of a sappy pointless sentimentalist flick about a plane crash & those who make it out. Caters to the basest superstitious mindsets. Shame, Jeff, shame.

Take it from someone who is used to flying long haul flights - the crash sequences had me totally engrossed. I'd give this movie a higher rating if it weren't for a few scenes that I thought were unecessary or just done horribly wrong (why on earth did they choose to play U2's "Where the streets have no name" for that particular scene????). This is one of the few movies I've seen of recent that *really* works. Recommended.

Given the talented cast, this should've been far better. Lousy script too. Sickeningly Californian to boot! Rosie Perez gave the movie its only spark. A total yawn fest.

It takes a long time for the story to come to its conclusion with the final piece. That said, Jeff Bridges is such a chameleon, and it's good to see Isabelle Rosselini for what he represents in the film industry. In that sense, you can wait for 2 hours.

"Fearless" is a Drama - Thriller movie in which we watch a man surviving from an airplane crash and changing the way he thinks about many things including his own life. Everything change for him and he has to start understanding how this insident changed him as a person. I liked this movie very much because it had a very good and well-written script and it also had a nice, simple and interesting plot. In addition to this, I have to say that the interpretation of Jeff Bridges who played as Max Klein was simply amazing and it is one of his best. Some other interpretations that have to be mentioned were sabella Rossellini's who played as Laura Klein and Rosie Perez's who played as Carla Rodrigo and they were both outstanding. I strongly recommend everyone to watch this movie because I am sure that you will find it very interesting and you will enjoy it.

Let's be frank. Normally, dramas bore me. They're too melancholy, melodramatic, mundane, or too arty for me. I'm an action guy. I like it when things blow up. Fearless is incredible, though. It's the story of how airplane crash victims deal with the trauma they've lived through. It's touching but not slow-paced. It has something real and deep to say, and it's original, too. Love that Jeff Bridges acting, too. Fearless is not exactly an action film, but there's some action in it, and it's a drama that guys like me who normally avoid dramas should take a risk on. It's uplifting without being cheesy. Who should see this film: -- A good film to help deal with a recent crisis in your life -- Action lovers who won't mind a little emoting -- Drama lovers of all types -- but not children 12 years I'll give this a 7 out of 10. It would have been an 8 but in some scenes the pain of the characters is too powerfully conveyed and it is a little disturbing (though ultimately uplifting).

No way would Fearless be an in-flight movie, and for good reason of course. It delves into not only the plane crash in minute, excrutiatingly detail, but also into the souls of the survivors. If you're into fast or furious, saw, hostels or human centipedes, then please step aside and give up your seat for someone that will truly appreciate the art of fine film making.
