This movie has attempted to achieve a strangely literary quality. In the African context, the chiefpriest is a special figure standing as a mediator between men and the gods. He appeases the gods and also intercedes for men; thus defining himself as problem solver to the community. In the story the chief priest of a particular community finds himself thrown into a big challenge of childlessness which obviously presents a disturbing issue between him and his wife.Upon the arrival of a son, there was a new found joy for the couple but that also marked the beginning of an fierce battle between father and son which obviously is as a result of clash of faith, religious beliefs and interests.
