What a build up, some of the best drama I have ever seen. You will be rewinding this I promise you.
A great and diverse selection of single adults here that are enough to carry any horror movie right up to it.
Incredible dialogue, each character must surely have been allowed to write their own lines.
You have never seen relationships and marriages flying about like this in your life.
It gets sinister fast and then decides to have fun instead, during which, there are only vague references to trouble and one dramatic sequence.
It all comes out at the end and oh my god what on earth is happening!
I can only say that a serious ending might have cast doubt on some of the greatest fun ever. For a horror fan however, such frivilous safety will cost an otherwise 8+/10 movie a couple of points.
With soo much fun being had one wonders why even make this a horror movie.

I was initially intrigued by the movie's cover and it's title. Sure, I had never heard about the movie, but it seemed like a horror movie that might prove interesting enough. And given my love and fascination with all things horror, of course I opted to give the movie a chance.
The storyline in "Everwinter Night" was a massive swing and a miss. There was nothing entertaining enough it as it dragged on with its pointless narrative. And I am not kidding when I am saying that there was nothing worthwhile to sit through as director Adam Newman stumbled about like a bull in a fine porcelain store. It was difficult to sit through this borefest of a movie.
In fact, I endured a staggering 73 minutes of absolute boredom out of a total of its 105 minutes total runtime. By then I was just bored to tears. There literally was no point to the storyline that writers Chris Goodwin and Adam Newman had put together.
I was not familiar with the actors and actresses on the cast list. But I will say that the acting performances were fair enough, just a shame that the actor and actresses had nothing wholesome to work with in terms of script, dialogue, characters or contents.
Do yourself a favor and give "Everwinter Night" a wide berth. It just simply isn't worth the time of day. Some of us suffered through this dumpster fire of a movie so you don't have to; you're quite welcome.
My rating of director Adam Newman's 2023 borefest of a movie titled "Everwinter Night" lands on a one out of ten stars.

Sugar Bear (Topher Hansson) and Buttercup (Chloe Couture) are traveling in a snowstorm in New Hampshire on their way to a timeshare cabin. Lost, they stop at a lodge where they happen to witness the Ka-Runa rite that summons Alecto. Years later Dizzy (Victoria Mirrer) and Madison Tanks (McKenna Parsons) are going on vacation together. To the dismay of Dizzy, Madison Tanks invites her Kappa friends Fiona (Nicolette Sweeney) and Becca (Alana Phillips). They are boy-crazy and have already met some handsome rich dudes who have invited them to the said lodge. Dizzy takes less interest in the rich pretentious guys, seeing something is amiss. She likes the bartender Jack (Jamie Dufaul) the son of the owner. The other girls pair off with the handsome guy who was there all in hopes of something more.
We knew the Alecto thing was coming. Alecto appears to be a Norse god as opposed to a minor Greek goddess. There are similar theme films that were made on larger budgets. This one demonstrates that decent films can come from small budgets if they have decent acting, characters, and script. Good job Adam Newman.

Trying to have a weekend trip together, a group of girlfriends are coerced into joining a group of frat guys at a mountain lodge where they're holding a special party, but when they start to believe the men have invited them there for a different reason must try to solve it and leave before it happens.
This was an abominably awful genre effort without much to like here. The only positive to be had here is the final few minutes where it actually has something going on that requires genuine genre thrills. Realizing what the full extent of the gathering is about, the occult ritual and demnic creature being summoned has a grat atmosphere to go along with some frenetic action involving the bodies getting ripped apart in gruesome fashion. The imagery and atmosphere of what's going on makes for a fun time here with this being the only part where something happens and the bloodshed occurs, but it's still not enough with it being too little too late. There's quite a lot to dislike with this one. The irritating characters that are impossible to care about or root for with their braindead banter or holier-than-thou attitudes, mysterious dialog that's supposedly meant to be funny or the sheer lack of anything thrilling happening makes this one excruciating to get through. As none of the characters are unlikable, with the girls being obnoxious party-girls willing to do anything at the drop of a hat because their company has money and the sensible one is a wet-blanket worry-wart upset over any change of plans while the men are hierarchy-focused beta-males trying to carry out this secretive ritual that is never explained so the group here is immensely hard to get behind. On top of that, there's nothing here that's really all that focused on the antics of the group that it doesn't have much of anything interesting happening. With the majority of the running time spent on getting the group established, what the ceremonial gathering is about and the different interactions possible, it takes so long before anything gets spelled out and revealed that it's just not entirely exciting anymore. With so much of the running time spent on aspects not even remotely interesting at all and a group of characters we're not in the slightest bit interested in, these elements all manage to drag this one down incredibly well.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Language and Graphic Violence.

As this film opens a couple stop off at a remote New England lodge to ask for directions... they don't come out alive. Thirty years later old friends Maddy and V are going away for a spa holiday together; things don't go to plan as Maddy's college friends, who V didn't know had been invited, show up and say that a group of wealthy young men had invited them all to stay with them for a few days at an exclusive lodge. V isn't pleased and it isn't long before displeasure becomes concern that something is off about their hosts. By the time we learn just how off they are it may be too late.
I thought this was a decent enough, if somewhat overlong, horror film. It opened well in the short prologue before introducing the main characters. V and Maddy are likeable, unlike Maddy's college friends who are irritating from the moment they show up. The premise is solid enough if not the most original and once at the lodge it drags somewhat more than necessary before the gory denouement. The cast is okay; I particularly thought Victoria Mirrer did a good job as V. The effects may have been fairly low budget and confined to the finale but it was nice to see physical effects rather than obvious CGI. Overall I'd say this is far from a must see but it isn't terrible either; worth watching once if you enjoy the genre.

My wife and I really loved this movie! The opening stinger has a Vacancy vibe - the two actors are great (Topher Hansson is one of my favorite indie horror stars) Once the main story starts up, it's a slow build where you really get to hang out with the characters. There are excellent, natrual performances by all the performers. The estimated budget is $60,000 but the production value is top notch.
The chemistry between the leads is great. You feel like you're stumbling into their lives.
The film takes some patience but if you are willing to sit through the first couple of story days, you are rewarded with a big finale. I definitely found it fun! My wife screamed "no!" in the final act after something that I won't spoil, and she might have actually cried!
Overall, both my wife and I were huge fans of this and will check it out again soon.

Caught this one on Tubi and have to admit that it took a little while to get going but it grew on me. Typically don't watch slower burns but this one was different and the ending is a certified banger. Everybody was believable - really well acted from top to bottom. Cinematography was top notch for something that sounds like it had a smaller budget. Setting was cool. And yeah, it takes a lit bit, but once it rolls into the last act, the blood is flying and it's a hell of a time.
Can't wait to check this one out again to see how all the threads work. Definitely check this one out if you like your horror with a bit of drama. A real indie gem.

Please take my advice and skip it. It was so boring that even at the climax ending I used fast-forward to get over with it.
It has nothing to offer. The story sucks and so does the script and the acting. After half an hour you hope that something will come up but it doesn't untill the last 5 minutes and what a dissapointment!
Some guys praisint it must be out of their minds. Comparing it to the Evil Dead! And classic comedy! Where the hell is that comedy?!
I guess people have diffrent tastes but this one must be the norm for bad taste.
Better spend your time elsewhere.
Don't say you were not warned.

The 10/10 star reviews must have come from people associated with the film itself. Calling this movie a "Classic" or anything else positive is garbage. I couldn't even finish it. Frankly, I'm not even sure what the hell this movie is about and I watched 3/4 of it! Definitely NOT a horror movie. The writing is terrible which contributed to the confusion about what exactly the movie was about. The acting was pretty bad. Only the main actress had a bit of talent. So I hope you will do yourself a favor and skip this one. I wish I could get my time back. I guess I know now why a 2023 movie went straight to Tubi streaming?

This movie is super fun and such a creepy story! It starts with a familiar type of plotline of childhood friends meeting back up after a while and then immediately starts to unravel into a crazy supernatural world of mystery and chaos. The characters are really relatable and the whole story is really well written. The setting and atmosphere is incredibly spooky and gives great eerie vibes to the film. There are a few funny moments but tons of edge-of-your-seat action. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for an original. Not your typical "cabin in the woods" type of film. I can definitely see this becoming a cult classic.
