This movie is self described as a comedy but there is nothing funny about this and it doesn't bring even the slightest smile to the topic of motherhood. It seems to want discourse but instead provides several different and divisive takes on motherhood. There is no effort of civility or common ground and the backstory or depth of characters is virtually nonexistent. The effect is four (and then five) adults whining and bickering amongst themselves about why their point of view is so superior that it should top all else.
This is not funny; this is not a good film to promote dialogue.
All it does it create tension and raise moral superiority in a place where more than one option happily exists.
Not worth the time. I watched 30 minutes and couldn't bear another second of it.

It points out everything wrong with our society. It's the most uncomfortable conversation. Anna camp was terrible. And spoiler: you have a woman, who doesn't want to get pregnant or live the stereotypical life. And will never find love because of that and will only have her work. But her friend who chose the common path, gets everything.....ok

Really strong film, amazing acting talents all round.
Storyline uncharted, so quite unique.
Not what I expected, it exceeds in that regard.

I have to say this is one of the best conceived and acted films I have watched in a long time; it seems as if it might transfer very well to the stage if someone wanted to bother.
What I must comment on is the classification of "comedy". Perhaps for singles or people that are disillusioned with relationships and parenthood, this might seem funny, but if you are a conscientious parent or in a willingly committed relationship, this was far from funny.
Every single one of the characters were well-acted and very believable so that I saw very close similarities from my own social circle and the subject matter was very dark.
I would classify this as "drama" and remove the "comedy" tag.

I have never wrote a review about a movie, however this one made me so mad I hide to find a link to write a review. I am devastated, truly devastated that I clicked. On watching this. The concept COULD HAVE been good, about feminism, however the fact that the whole freaking movie is in a small apartment building with balls on the walls was just the stupidest thing I have ever seen. The art was wack AF and the relationships between the couples was the total opposite of inspiring. It was ready, boring, and a life sucker! It literally sucked the fun from my eyeballs for a solid hour and 23 minuets. Biggest waist of my life. If God came down and said what one thing in this life do you wish you could take back, it would be watching this "movie" right here. Hate is not a good enough way to describe this show. Acting was terrible, the storyline was revolting, and I sat there most of the time wondering why the hell im still watching, I kept waiting for something different to happen, ya know such as someone to like leave the apartment and film somewhere else. What a mistake that was on my part. I would be super ashamed if I had any part in this film whatsoever.

This is an odd film about motherhood.
Tina is a successful artist who invites her long time now-impregnant rival Karen, along with both their husbands, for a visit.
The film tries to imitate the amazing "Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf" (1968) but instead of having the complex, multi-layered and fascinating character of Martha, we get Tina, and instead of witty, absurd philocophical dialogue we get almost two hours of painful passive agressive behaviour that leads nowhere.
The characters never become real, and the plot quickly becomes a bore. It always seems like the plot is trying to get somewhere - but never does.
That at least until the very end, when the film was finally abouy to get to a climax, only to end in a cliched way.
The film is not necessarily awful, though. There are some moments of joy and tension, even some pretty funny jokes. Sadly, they are not enough to make up for wierd narrative and the poorly written characters.

I am a self-titled movie hater. I believe tv is better sue me. I do however, want to be included in modern hip conversations with my peers; so, usually I watch trailers and that gives me enough information to 1) form an opinion 2) share that opinion. The trailer for this movie however was super confusing so I was like I need to figure out what this movie is about. I watched it, all the way. The trailer is so spot on. It's literally just a scene straight out of the movie. This movie is about nothing and also everything and too trendy but also has all the gross parts of the movies that we tolerate. Ummmm I don't know what the message was, everyone in the film is beautiful which is awesome probably why it got 3 stars and not 2.7 --- I definitely think you should watch it but I don't think you'll enjoy it..
