At first i was a little hesitant about going to see this film. I guess i was a little worried that, as with so many other comedys (Grownups to name but one), all the best bits were used in the adverts/trailers for this film. I was wrong and boy am i glad i went to see this movie. For me, its one of the funniest films i'd seen for a while with plenty of laugh out (and in some cases very loudly) moments. The story, and thus the film, flows from start to end with very little in the way of 'boring bits'. Downey Jnr was excellent throughout, as always it seems these days. Although my one negative was that the end was very and quite typically American in that 'everything works out' kind of way, but even that is a tiny moan on an otherwise very entertaining film. Why so many people are comparing this to Trains, Planes & Automobiles... which by the way is one of my favourite films... i just don't get. Yes its 2 people, who are quite clearly opposites trying to get across the USA but that's where the similarities stop. This film and its comedy are clearly aimed at todays generation of movie goers and todays sense of humour which has evolved from what it once was... what was good 23 years ago in PTAA remains good, but show it to a 20 year old today and i'd bet some of the humour would be lost on them. If i made my younger brother, who's 17 years of age, watch something like a classic 'Carry On' film.. he'd be crawling up the walls inside 10 minutes. So i do feel to compare 2 films which a generation between them isn't quite right for me. I'd recommend that you go see this film, enjoy it for what it is. A damn good laugh and great way to spend a couple of hours at the flicks. Enjoy

Recipe for a bad movie. Remake a great movie, "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" with many good actors. Discard the potential of Michelle Monaghan and Jamie Foxx. Add canned Juliette Lewis and Danny McBride shtick to save time. Make the Steve Martin character unlikable. Make the John Candy character sinister and unlikable. Imagine how one would react to the antics of the other, and then on occasion, invert the reaction. (That adds suspense!) Re-write PT&A with more action by disconnecting the vignettes; this gives you the freedom to create disasters and then re-start the plot with the leads not dead or in jail, like Saturday morning cartoons. Here's your inspiration - when you do "man slips on a banana peel", don't be afraid to make the audience be the man, make them feel the pain of tailbone falling on concrete. After 98 minutes of bone breaking aggression and multiple felonies, add a "oh my god, my kid is black" site gag, make sure everyone loves one another, sprinkle with pot jokes and sell while actors' reputations are still hot.

I found this a little dull and lacking. Over the course of the movie's running time it only had a couple of moments where I actually laughed. Nice to see junior continuing to mix up his projects, he is one of the great actors never afraid to try something different. This one didn't work but that's ok :)

This movie is mean. What these people do to each other is not funny. Contrary to the excellent "Hangover", where some old dudes are mean to each as a form of expressing their friendship (even if they exaggerate this meanness for comedic effects). Here, people with no reason to even be together one minute, accept $#!/ from the other for no gains and reason. You never see the good part of this "growing weird" relationship. I of course laughed in some parts, because these are two awesome comedians, but for the most part I was repulsed by the characters actions (and the inaction to just, you know, not putting up with the other anymore). Terrible.

This is supposed to be a comedy, I found little if nothing to make me laugh at. Robert Downey Junior looks so annoyed and bored all the time its obvious he had zero interest in it. 5 minutes in I was already starting to wonder if this was the film I had read about and by 15 minutes in I was rechecking to see if I had rented the correct film and unfortunately I had. It drags on and on and stays painfully inane with the occasional minute of extreme irritation along the way. Avoid if at all possible, get a haircut, go shopping or fishing but do something better with your time, I for one wish I'd never seen this tripe.

Due Date is, hands down, the funniest movie I've seen in at least 10 years. Downey and Galifianakis have incredible chemistry together. The film is both funny and cool at the same time. The soundtrack is great and the energy throughout the film is amazing. There is not one bad scene or slow moment in this movie. Anyone who does not find themselves rolling in the aisles laughing is either dead inside or blind and deaf. Clearly, anyone who gave this film a bad review is in need of counseling or just lots of attention that they didn't receive as a child. This is the first time I've ever been downright offended by reading a bad review. The only explanation I can give for anyone who gave this film a bad review is that they saw the wrong movie. This film is perfectly hysterical! Don't miss it!
