I've never had the pleasure of viewing a Riley Stearns movie before this gem of a film. And if any of them are as hilariously original as this one, I want to delve into his filmography. Karen Gillian caught my attention for the first time in Jumaji, and in this she plays a far more complicated role(s) and excels. She displays impressive comedic timing and a depth that she hasn't gotten the chance to explore until now. This is Paul's best work since Breaking Bad, and this role was perfectly suited for him. I also found myself genuinely belly laughing on more than one occasion, yet I wouldn't classify this as a traditional comedy. Additionally, it contained a litany of thought provoking situations that had me thinking long after the credits had rolled. It's a shame it hasn't been talked about as much as some movies that clearly have less ambition, and less to say about society. Go into the film with an open mind, and no preconceived notions, and I guarantee it will surprise you.

Had they kept the same energy from the opening scene, this would have been great. The majority of this felt predictable, robotic, dull, and forced.
Highly recommend watching Swan Song (2021) instead.

The concept is great but the delivery is more robotic than elon musk's playhouse. It was a real chore to get through this movie !
Very disappointing.furthermore i'm struggling to understand how so many people thought this was a good idea.

I love Aaron Paul and would probably give any movie he is in 10 stars. But movie was just horrible. Sorry Aaron. I also love Karen Gillan but throughout this movie she has zero personality or inflection. It's basically like the director told her to do her impression of the worst actress ever. There was nothing that made this movie good. I'm blown away by the good reviews. Also, spoiler alert, a dog is killed. That's an automatic no for me.

Dual is dark and wild, it engages the viewer from beginning to end. The Arthouse we want. Karen Gillan is the diamond of this movie. Don't be influenced by poor ratings and negative opinions.

The premise is interesting, and there are some scenes that play out well because of it, but on the whole, this movie is incredibly amateur. Of course, I say amateur, but apparently this guy has made movies before and people somehow like his style. I don't see how that's possible. The dialogue is the worst dialogue I've ever heard in a movie. The acting is somehow worse. I physically cringed multiple times hearing Karen Gillan say some of these lines. If your "style" is to have the worst dialogue imaginable, why hire a real actress? Why not just pluck some bum off the street? Maybe that's the point, and there's some joke in here about seeing a real actress say this stuff, but it isn't funny in the slightest. I would not recommend this movie to anyone.

Great Sci-Fi that relies on the story and not unnecessary over-the-top special effects. I felt like this movie could be telling about what we have in store in the future. Every character is somewhat robotic, and without feeling or personality...much like a society where indoctrination has voided all critical thought and reason. That's my take anyway.
Beautifully shot, score was well done, and acting really portrayed the uncaring nature of society. Great film!

I thought perhaps Karen Gillan might be able to save or do something with it, but no.
I LOVE Karen Gillan, the only reason i gave it a crack.
Made it 20 minutes, it felt much longer......
