This happened first in my life, that in the half time I came out from cinema. It was waste of time and money.

As a screenwriter myself I know how difficult it is to get anything produced let alone a movie. It is all the more mystifying then that something as awful as this ever saw the light of day. What is even more of a mystery is how two actors of Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek's stature were persuaded to sign up for it in the first place. I can only guess at their motives but I suspect they were doing it as a favour to the director or one of the producers. If not, both should sack their agents immediately.
The leads do their best to navigate their way through what is a painfully unfunny script but, ultimately, this will probably go down as the low point of their careers. It's a real shame as Baldwin in particular has turned in some great performances over the years - his cameo in Glengarry Glen Ross being one of my personal favourites. He and Hayek will no doubt bounce back from this but the director and co-writer, Fred Wolf - a former stand-up, unbelievably - may struggle to put this stinker behind him.

If you are in the mood for a light goofy comedy, then watch this. I thought it was cute, and relatable. We all have our opinion, but that is mine. Maybe the movie is best suited for wine drinkers and not scotch drinkers. Enjoy!

This movie has it's funny moments, but more importantly shines a light on the vapid nature of the contemporary middle class and who and what they/we are really aspiring to be. As it pretty much points out the error of these aspirations, it is holding up a mirror to our ugly inner motives. Ugly doesn't like mirrors, so the movie is often met with hostility.
The comedy is a 7, but it is only there to ease the much needed slap in the face which is a 9, so i averaged an 8.
Decent movie with a good indirect message.

Terrible and unwatchable. Perhaps watching paint dry would be more exciting than this drivel

This couple, whose daughter is studying and who live a more exclusive life than the majority, will be faced with changing the way of life, adapting to the new circumstances. Alek Boldvin and Selma Hajak have shown that they can play the ultimate acting by half-drunk people who meet for a few days with smaller and bigger problems and manage to solve them in different ways. I can only pinpoint the desperation of children whose parents are half-drunk on a daily basis, what the essence of the film directs us to.
