Is Double Threat a mob classic like The Godfather or A Bronx Tale? Absolutely not. But if you are looking for a mob movie with humor, action and romance, look no further then Double Threat, which is one of my favorite films of 2022. The very beautiful Danielle Ryan ( Natalie) plays a woman with multiple personalities. One Nat a normal woman, the other Tasha a Rambo like killing machine ( who steals $650,000 from the mob and is engaged to the mob boss's pathetic son Ellis ( but of course, Nat wants nothing to do with him)). What makes the film work is how different the characters are and you do not know when either will pop up. There is also romance involved with forensic accountant Jimmy ( Matthew Lawrence), who actually loves both women ( but Nat more). Of course, they end up together, and the Tasha personality goes away, but the film is set up for a sequel, so expect her ( and Nat) to be back. I will not spoil how it works out, but I can think of a lot worse options then 90 minutes with the beautiful and talented Danielle Ryan. 10/10 stars.

Jimmy (Matthew Lawrence) is a forensic accountant on his way to the Pacific Ocean to scatter his brother's ashes. He stops for snacks along the way. A supposed robbery happens at the store. Natasha (Danielle C. Ryan) the clerk, kills the culprits and this ends up with the two of them on the run from the mob which wants her dead for skimming. The twist is Natasha has a split personality, one mild mannered and the other is a killer who talks in sexual innuendos. The film made me feel like I was watching "American Ultra." Everyone underestimates this 100 pound girl. It was a fun PG-13 type of grindhouse/romance. Guide: No F-words. One pool table sex scene. No nudity.

Garbage movie, feels like a really low budget movie. Acting is okay, story is below subpar. Many things in the movie do not make sense. Many loose ends. Horrible dialogues. Don't waste your time watching this. I think anyone rating this movie 5+ are fake or paid.

Suspend belief, enjoy the good dialogue, ignore the bad. The fight scenes were pretty decently done, reminiscent of Natasha Romanoff I thought. But the sex scene - really? In these days of freely available * which is so much better (I'm told) these sorts of semi-modest scenes are a bit cringeworthy.

Loved this movie. It was a B budget. But comical at times, very sexy, and had a Bonnie and Clyde type of punchline. While I never have heard of any of these cast members. And some of the acting was a little corny. It still came through with a very entertaining movie. I think some of the criticism about this movie was a little too over the top. Not every movie has a multi million dollar budget. But for under a million this story was witty, comical, action packed, and even romantic. That's why I gave it such a high rating vs. The other guys. Highly recommend watching it after running out of good mainstream movies to watch.
