Original, very interesting and definitively worth a look.
As many work in the same genre, it pokes on what makes something alive and the rights of anything that is sentient and self determining.
The characters are engaging, the story line is credible and interesting.
The cast contains a bunch of young actors that are not quite at Meryl Streep level yet and some veterans like Don Cheale and Emily Mortimer supporting them, still it is a good performance with good rhythm that maintain your interest right through.
I would have liked and watched a season 2....
Was originally showed as a series on Quibi each episode about 10 minutes.

This is my first review here but I really felt I have to try and do some justice, the way I can, because it's just outrageous how and where things are going these days
This site is getting worse and worse everyday. Buying reviews to score high and deceive the audience 😠, it's just not right (my personal opinion)
I've been to see Avatar first day, almost fell asleep. There is no way on earth I would give Avatar more than a 4. Well Cameron invested billions in that movie and they're trying to get something back by "any means necessary" if you ask me. And if Avatar has 8(!) here I guess "Don't look deeper" deserve a 15.
Good story, deep meaning off "what if?", nice twists, decent acting.
Give this movie a shot. You might be impressed.

Assuming this gets posted, it will be the second review for this film. I just watched it and went to see what others were saying. The only review currently there is clearly fake. Someone who posted a review for the first time and then goes on and on about Avatar and not liking Avatar so they're giving this one a great review!
Huh?
This movie is suprisingly dismal. I say that because, besides the female lead, the dude in the movie is actually a good actor. I think he was deservedly nominated for an academy award. Mainstream, people will recognize him has Ironman's "sidekick" (for lack of a better term).
His talent is wasted. The movie looks like one of those let's tick boxes and make a movie for next to no money so we can say we did it.
It's poorly conceived and poorly realized. It looks cheap. It's boring. I'm not a fan of Avatar which that other review pontificated on, but this is way more boring.
The director is obviously a novice who should consider another career. Ad BTW it took like FOUR people to write the horrible script! Really people. Find different employment.

Speaking as someone way beyond young adult age, I'm watching this and it's not bad. Though it would probably help if I had a bit of YA angst to help me relate.
Given certain assumptions about the main character, such as how come she didn't notice that she had to plug herself into the mains to recharge overnight? There are other details where it would be difficult for Aisha to pass herself off as human. Programming emotions must have been tricky.
On the plus side, Aisha is gorgeous. And on the whole it kept my attention throughout. And it presented some interesting concepts and conundrums. There are a few continuity glitches along the way, probably caused by the way it's been assembled from small episodes.
I'm hoping it has a happy ending but I'm not sure it's heading that way.
