The movie lost the hilarious theme and went on another Movie started with a bang and about One and half hour it was too hilarious and entertaining but then suddenly they kept aside the humour and went on serious topics like love story, doctor ethics ,incidents etc Ayushmann has a tough road as his last 3 movies were flop and this one will follow rakul was ok in supporting role..Shefali has maintained her trend of hard hitting acting as followed by many series The movie would had got the hit tag if they would had continued the humours trend and released on ott as they have tough competition with aye zindagi and kantara.

It lacked sincerity and feeling. In fact, I didn't feel much of anything throughout except frustration. Whereas the first one made me laugh and cry the whole way through, this one was really ho-hum, except for the very end- and I only laughed once! Like I said, there is a feeling of insincerity to this one. It's basically a parody of itself, whereas the original feels like a genuine classic. And a lot of the stuff in this felt forced and just annoying. One of the my fav movie and i really feel no one can make better movie as this and i feel appropriate and i recomnded all the best for your amazing movie i ever had in my lifeI wanted to like this, I tried desperately to find an ounce of the old magic. Alas, it was.gone. A contrived, unimaginative senseless film that should've been more. It wasn't bad, but I hoped for so much better. It felt dull and lacklustre. The music scenes seemed shoehorned in for the sake of it. Oddly enough, there was some good bits and incidental comedy, hence the 4 stars. Sadly there wasn't enough. In my opinion, the casting was ok. The script could've so much better though. It reminded me of the ghost busters film reboot, it added nothing and took so much more away. On the whole, it was ok.

Before interval everything seems interesting and after that everything changes to disappoint You'll enjoy the first half of the movie as it is filled with good jokes and punch lines. In the second half everything goes down hill as the story takes a very different approach towards the characters. The cast is really great as acting wise everyone does a fabulous job I have given it a 7 star just coz of the performance by the actors. Other than that it will stoop even lower. The song Step Copy was also missing from the movie, saw it on the YouTube ads god knows what was going on. review by K3.

Yet another Ayushman Khurrana film that deals with a taboo topic related to Gynaecologist. Through the film you see a young student, uninterested in Gynaecology getting into the subject and breaking the myth that only females can be good Gynaecologist. Doesn't leave much of an impact but the film is definitely interesting to watch. Never gets too preachy at any time . Climax was quite interesting but i felt it was a bit short . Humor works well wherever present. Performances were good . AK is in his comfort zone. Sheeba chadda brings good comic relief but has an emotional tale in the 2nd half. Shefali Shah yet again delivers a standout performance. Rakul preet was very average. The love angle was totally unnecessary and increases the length of the already short film by atleast 20 mins. Sheeba chadda's mini subplot could have been avoided. Lastly, the film doesn't leave much impact. Overall, a decent one timer.

I have seen the movie, a total waste of time. You are gonna learn nothing except for that indeed in the end when "Doctor G" says he lost his "Male Touch" he indeed is speaking the truth. From start to beginning, the movie is al about a guy woh is strugling in life and has to take crap from every womam for no good reason. Even tho the guy act's like it's alright. It's not. I sometimes wonder what we are trying to teach our kids, respecting a woman is good. But telling them to be a slave is another. These so called big actors with their rich guy problems, are only taking roles and scripts that their female friends like mother or wife want him to take. Nothing compared to what is happening in reality.

Ayushmann Khurrana you did it again! What a film #DoctorG is. I enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommend, please go watch. @ShefaliShah_ you and your character was amazing as usual. Doctor G is a comedy drama film directed by anubhuti kashyap. Ayushmann khurana does what he has done over the years. There was nothing new from her. Rakul preet singh has fallen off the cliff it seems, her acting potential is substantially declining. Sheeba chaddha and shefali shah hold the ship together with their presence. The supporting cast is good. The screenplay is engaging. Its more of a drama than comedy, the drama is built well. The shift from a chauvinist to losing the "male touch" was handled well. The film talks about sensitive topics. It tried to layer it in comedy, but the trope is getting repetitve to be honest. Music is pretty average. There is no chartbuster or any instant-likeable song.

Ayushman Khurana has to stop doing these films. This has become repetitive where Ayushman Khurana essays a role that is part socially preachy combined with an awkard character resulting staid and cringey comedy. Bollywood needs to get out of this tired formula where they have taken the missionary mission to preach the hinterland. The issue is that these movies rather than representing the on-ground phenomenon rather depicts Bollywood's percpetion of what lies beyond South Bombay and BKC. To them Hinterland represent the evil and the same is caricatured in movie after movie. While male gynaecologists are not so common, they do exist and infact have existed in the last 40-50 years. Society is aware of it and hence again shows the dissonance of the team about India. The first half of this movie is boring to the hilt. The jokes don't land and the comedy is frustrating. It seems the team ideated and combined half backed scripts and stories related to the concept and made mish mash of it. It looks and feels like the plays done by college students for their fests and annual events. This typically try to contain social message while being funny. Infact, it is a actually that is what I feel where they got couple of bright college students who went on to create a movie length college play about Male gynaecologists. Bollywood needs to really focus on scriptwriting. We are tired and really tired of these movies. With regards to acting, Ayushman easily essays the role but that is expected and then again we had enough of it. I would have preferred Tiger Shroff or Vidyut Jamwal to essay this role and this would have been more refreshing. Shefali Shah is the only saving grace. Rest of the cast is okish and nothing to complain given the horrendous script. In the end an OTT film not meant for theaters.

The movie very conveniently shows something which is neither the demand of the script, nor is required in any other form - the actress kissing someone else despite the fact that she is in a relationship and about to get married! Later, the movie ends with these two becoming "good friends" and the actress' fiancée being aware and totally cool about the her kissing someone less. Not sure what agenda this serves in the movie but actors need to take a concious stand to call out such morally corrupt bits, specially when they have now real impact on the script of the movie. The least they can do is add a trigger warning.
