This was one of the most beautiful movies i have ever watched in my entire life. Im am 26 years old. This movie is so good i had to leave a review. Hope faith and grace is within this movie. It is so so so beautiful. Cried a few times but tears of love and joy. The love of christ is displayed in this film. This should be in homes and theaters everywhere. More people should know about this film. I actually began watching on accident and it caught my eye how good it was. From start to finish, plot twists and it was very easy to it to keep my attention. Deserves an Oscar which it may never receive. The best movies are made by independent film makers. God bless everyone who participated in this work of soulful art. Amazing acting and real life situations that inspire and sew a seed of God within you.

On the outside I look like I have nothing in common with this story but it has touched home! Excellent acting, storytelling, and filming. Everyone has worth! I watched it on Redeem TV and was surprised how well made it is. The substance abuse part is just long enough to get the picture, but the film doesn't dwell on it. I think it would be perfect to show high schoolers and help them understand that they don't know everyone's story by just looking at them. We all have more in common than we think. I'll have to check out the youngsters in the cast and see where they are using their talents.

This was an uplifting movie. However, as a recovering addict myself, they made rehab look like a cakewalk, and see if she just walked in was sick a few days and magically was fixed and got out. That is absolutely not the way it works. Granted, she had money and could go to a nice facility where she had a private room and all, but they did not show the facility giving her anything at all to help with her withdrawal, which can actually result in death if they don't give you something. Also showed no group meetings, none of the work that is necessary or happens in a decent rehab. Not a good movie for people who need to go to rehab.

This is a great film for hope. It will help you see there is more to life than self. It's emotional and encouraging. I wish i knew where to go to be a help in community but everything is so hidden you start to think there are not these life situations they are made up. This film is good to freshen the soul if your soul is stale and full of self!

Overall, this movie was an enjoyable experience. Loved how the characters were portrayed, as well as the plot. However, the one glaring issue I have with this movie is the frankly disrespectful background music in some of the more emotionally charged scenes. The laid-back, casual, monotonous, and disturbing elevator music really took me out of the film multiple times. Both my friend and I made multiple comments on how the background music was in no way suitable for the scene. Especially in the latter half of the film, where we see our characters' struggles, the music felt like it was taking away from the emotions the movie was trying to convey through their experiences. TL;DR Good movie, awful elevator music.

Another great part from Karen Abercrombie! 👏 Loved the main part of the film. 🎥 Music therapy is very important in my family (both husband and daughter are music therapists), but close to the end I found myself really hoping they wouldn't ruin the end; they did. 😥 But except the end, the story is good.👍

This movie teaches we can do it ourself. Leaves a very bad impression of a fake, drunk and abusive pastor. In the meanwhile, the recovery scene shows she did it all on her own. Grace's recovery scene could have taught that Christ is the anchor of the soul and the only long lasting solution. If anyone in recovery does it purely of themselves, they will fall back into addiction.
@karenAbercrombie, I thought you didn't drink luke warm coffee.
This movie is another example of why Jesus says he will spew the lukewarm out of His mouth. It's too bad, the writers "had and missed" a great opportunity to truly preach Christ. My guess is, the producers would rather leave Jesus out, and have more eyeballs on the movie.
That's another one @karenAbercrombie, I thought you said "Don't leave out Jesus, people always leavin Jesus out. It's one of the reasons we in the mess we in"

A really beautiful movie, excellent script, awesome casting, great directing & OUTSTANDING music. A stellar performance by the lead actress, Karen Abercrombie, makes this well worth the watch. I also really loved the teenagers - portrayed very believably & really moving dialogues for each of them. This is easily my most favorite movie from PureFlix so far. I cried twice!! Highly recommend for a quiet Sunday afternoon. The title song, "Discarded Things" by Ian Grey, is LOVELY. I'm going to look for it on ITunes. Very enjoyable.
