This is the first time I write a review about a movie on IMDB. I don't know if that says something about me or this movie. After 10 minutes I wondered if this movie is made by a group of middle school tech geeks. But then I found out this movie is produced by two grown up middle aged men!!! I never seen a movie this bad in my life and I hope this is the first and the last time. I think I just got traumatized. I learned a new definition of the word bad. Never again

Joe Estevez stars in this action packed thriller, in the role of his life, as Colonel Mason Brayman, shacked up in a top secret underground military control center with Madam Vice President, played by Priscilla Barnes, the hard as nails Gunnery Sgt Benjamin Wright, played by Michael Harris, and the down on his luck geologist Dr. Vickers played by Pete Punito. Kelly Erin Decker is also on board as office hottie Toni Sims who Estevez takes under his wing as he absorbs information from an unknown playboy wild card, Simon Narino, and his sex kitten bikini clad gf Angela, as well as others, about how best to avoid catastrophe as a massive tsunami races towards the west coast. Yes it is cornball. But it's darn good entertainment. Frankly I am baffled by all of the low ratings. Had a few character traits been developed a little bit it would have added some needed depth to story, but I'm not really complaining. This cast is actually not a bad assembly. There are a couple of unexpected twists. The acting is a bit funny at times. Some of the scenes are also. Sometimes intentionally so, Topside: We need a bigger boat. Damn topside.

This movie is absolutely terrible we bought this for 1 Euro and i swear to god this is probably the budget for the movie but it isn't this movie had 185 000 dollar budget. And it looks really bad the CGI is terrible some of the shots are reused or stolen the acting is terrible nobody in the movie cares because everyone seems bored to death and the story is bad there are like 500 characters and the movie has way to many filler.They're also some funny moments in the movie but sometimes it's just boring and the worst thing in the movie is the studio that made this sh't it's called Tom Cat studios and they made great films like Captain Battle: Legacy War and other bad movies. Only thing that is positive about movie is that this movie made me laugh sometimes.

Nothing more to say than other reviewers except does imdb allow us to rate partial points in quality of film? if so I give it 0.00000001 My mistake. I grew up on Poseidon Adventure & Towering Inferno, so I am always hopeful of a well-crafted disaster movie. But 9 out of 10 films are muck. When you have some big breasted small bikinied 24 year old on her phone who is using technology to create an earthquake & discussing it with her nasty ugly boss who wants 500 million or he's going to storm LA in a mega tsunami... Yawn! Spare me this garbage. The scene of the approaching wave in Hawaii is worth watching just to see the ridiculous 2 actors dialogue at the Pacific tsunami centre. It's so bad its hilarious. This is schmuck at its highest level. Warning: You will be intellectually tortured!

Disaster wars:tsunami vs earthquake is one of those movies that you see that you never talk about or see it in a DVD bin or second hand shop,this into is fairly short due to the movie i have just watched. The first initial reaction to this films existence is what a weird title for a movie,then you realize that the concept doesn't really make much sense because in order for a tsunami to happen an earthquake must occur either in the ocean or near the coast that it sends aftershocks out to cause the tsunami,so logically the concept of the movie"tsunami vs earthquake"would'nt really pan out in a movie as this movie tries to emphasize(disappointingly this match between natural disasters never actually happens til the end in an extremely dragged out and terrible looking scene),as for the movie itself,the movie was something i was not expecting and bored and baffled me to a point where i had to take a break and think over what i was actually getting myself into. the aspects of this film i would like to point out for being something kind of ridiculous is the terrible cgi and set designs(this also includes filming locations such as outside shots),the first experience i had with the terrible looking cgi was in the first couple of minutes into the film and immediately regretted watching this film,the whole third act of the film is a horrible computer generated mess that is actually really hard to watch. another topic that is prominent that i have a major issue with is the "characters",the "characters"are all pretty much the exact same personality wise(cardboard),as the movie progressed i was kind of hoping that they would try and add personality variety between them but that was of a high expectation,one of the biggest problems i have with the characters is the main character,the reason i forgot his name is because the director and screenwriter must have forgotten to add him in and actually give him motivation like a main character has to have,most he does in the movie is go somewhere for 20 minutes and give the viewer exposition about the tsunami. In my honest opinion i don't actually recommend this film because there is nothing compelling about this film but if you want to waste an hour and 25 minutes of your time then go right ahead. 1 out of 10

The Killer Tsunami looks like it is emitting blasts from an asthma inhaler, or maybe just a couple really pretentious farts. The acting is horrible but not campy, and overall, it doesn't seem so much like a well- meaning but terrible movie, but more like a really understated satire. It's kind of like "The Day after Tomorrow" if it forgot to care and just took a handful of sedatives. Just because it's so unique, intentional or not, I'm giving it a 10 of 10- don't get me wrong, it sucks- but in a sort of modern Plan 9 from Outer Space in a world with HD cell phone cameras kind of way. I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit. There's a glut of overproduced stuff now, so the contrast is pretty fun.

I couldn't believe the reviews so I went to YouTube and watched this film -- or as much as I could stomach. Wow, what a waste of $500! The acting..... I don't have another word for it... was amateur hour, the story was LUDICROUS, the Special Effects were HILARIOUSLY BAD DIME STORE QUALITY, and the dialogue atrocious. Captain to daughter: "Karen, are the controls working?" (No, Captain, the whole movie is not working.) Nerdy guy to Captain: "Dr. Taylor, this is madness!" (Yes, it is!!) Girl at Tsunami Center, Honolulu: "May God have mercy on us all!" (Honey, may God have mercy on the Producers, Director, Writers, Cast and Crew.) I've seen "The Room" AND "The Disaster Artist," but now I have new respect for what used to be called the "worst film ever made."
