After rewatching (and yes I saw it more than once) this film 10 years after I watched it as a kid I got to say its way worse then i remember it. This film is down right insulting to the art of parody as this film seems to want to destroy the concept entirely Consider this one of the worst and hardest times to sit through I know people work hard on films and they take a lot of time and effort but films like this don't convince me that this was the case at all

Hahaha!! NOT lmao at this vile crappy movie- but at the reviews from we the reviewers who obviously are MUCH funnier than the crackheads who made this piece-o-crap!! Got this from a pawn shop the other day missed the boat back in 2007 or whenever it was made and finallllly saw this classic...jk cuz mm hmm it's truly atrocious but yes I will say these reviews are entertaining to make up for it I watched this movie and thought ok is it just me or was that like xtra xtra xtra baddddd:..lol yes it was so bad in fact that I actually felt compelled to write a review on a 10 year old movie

Watched on TV with my easy to entertain teen sons. After 15 min's they say: What a TOTAL piece of CRAP! For gods sake change the channel before we puke! Can we go rent a movie that's actually funny? Pleeaase.. Sure this is a movie for kids, but what happened to all good comedy's? Those comedy's that demanded some brains? My 9 year old son just can't see any fun in people who is just acting stupid or clumsy, falling, etc. But he really enjoys movies like Fargo (not the series). Fargo is hilarious if you have some brains. Why can't i just make a short statement? "Have to be 10 lines...". Sorry, but not everyone likes to babble...

Not that I've done any actual calculations on this (it would be as a much of a waste of time as the film itself), but it seems to me that for every five minutes of movie there is only about a minute of actual plot, the other four minutes are taken up by "jokes" while the plot is put on hold. The gags then, which by the way are really just a series of pop culture references, are long winded (like I said, they take several minutes), disgusting (bodily fluids and whatnot), outdated (the movie feels very old just five years after release), and plain unfunny. Discussing lot, acting and whatnot is pretty pointless given the low plot to joke ratio. Suffice it to say, Disaster movie is plot wise a pointless 20 minute short, filled up with about an hour of cringe worthy jokes for padding.

I have had root canal surgeries that were more fun. This mess makes "Plan 9 From Outer Space" (long considered the worst movie ever made) look like an Academy Award contender. The basic idea is good, make fun of all the disaster movies, but the actual movie is horrible. I get the feeling that the makers got high on something and just threw whatever came to mind into the script, figuring the audience would be too dumb to understand. These people should be banned from ever making another film and kept away from all movie cameras. I managed to sit through a total of 15 minutes and felt like I should wash my eyes and brain out with bleach to get rid of the memory. Terrible doesn't begin to describe it.

Why on earth are Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg still making movies? All of them are in my top 10 worst movies i have ever seen and Disaster movie is one of them.The movies should without a doubt be banned.I think there should be a petition to stop them making movies.The first signature will be from me.They have absolutely no originality and talent.I rented this out from United Video the other day and I usually watch movies from the start to end but i turned the DVD off after 20 minutes.I have rented out so many dvds from United Video and this falls into the less than 1% that i didn't finish watching.I had enough of it! I seriously wanted to give this a 0 of 10 stars but i cant.2nd worst movie of 2008 after "Meet the Spartans" of course. 0 out of 10 is my rating.Epic Fail
