The three punks convicted for the murder led by Damian Echols were guilty AF. Okay there was some hell and brimstone preacher who railed at these juvenile devil wannabees and the police work wasn't up to Law and Order standards, but never was even one bit of exonerating evidence uncovered. Also, after almost 3 decades and millions raised to free these punks and thousands of rich people or people with time on their hands, why haven't the "real" killers been found? This is just like the losers in Atlanta who still think some sinister blanche plot based on some whacked out jail snitch's tale, and not convicted serial killer Wayne Williams wasn't the Child Killer of the early 80. Hollywood needs to stick to fiction and I like Atom Ergoyan in general. So I am not doing this review out of spite.

At first I was very excited to see this movie with a powerful trailer i thought it would be amzing but the movie is very boring and empty,seriously where is the thrilling ?? i don't find a reason why this movie should be made even if it was dedicated to the 3 teenagers but i find it very empty.

This contains no spoilers because it put both me and my fiancé to sleep. In the absence of Ambien, this provides a good substitute. Reese and Colin too, what a roaring shame. The issue here is apart from being boring in general, the film marches on and on, and on. Introducing the viewer to dozens of underdeveloped characters. The plot is weak, and at about an hour and a half of it, as the movie marches on with no end in site, we finally made the decision to shut it off. Which I should preface that I almost never leave a film unfinished. If the movie was worse I would have found it actually more interesting. Anyways, maybe if you are familiar with the crime you can sort out this mess. A poor film.

The cast list in uncanny in this film. It would be an alright murder/mystery/court drama if the majority of people following the actual case didn't know most of the facts by now. It's a very very complex case, I've watched and read everything there is available, and I'm almost certain in my mind I know who the real killer is. It's a tragic, awful story, It does contain some upsetting scenes from the offset but again, if familiar with the case you'd have seen the real photos and film footage. Worth a watch, but misses a billion things out that are needed to understand it. Reece Witherspoon was fantastic as Pam Hobbs,

Based on a true murder case, this movie tells the story of the murder of three young 8-year-old boys in West Memphis. It was originally believed that the boys were victims of three teenagers, so-called ''The West Memphis Three'', who were allegedly members of a satanic cult, but then investigation took an unexpected turn... I don't want to spoil the further events (in case you're not familiar with the story). The actors' performances are good (especially Colin Firth's), but there are some unnecessary scenes. In addition, the plot develops slowly and the ending could have been much better. All in all, it's an interesting movie, but not made well enough to be seen more than once.

It was a decent movie. I wont say much because it would be spoiler worthy. But what I shall say is that there is nudity in flashback type scenes throughout the movie. The parental guidance should be updated with this information as some families might not find it appropriate enough to watch. It is apparently based on a true story, and definitely gets you thinking. I did not find the movie slow at all, so it was entertaining throughout for the most part of the film. Overall, a decent movie, but IMO not a film for everybody, especially young children.

Recomended to watch,sad coz it's just uncompleted case!

This movie is based on the actual case of the "West Memphis Three". Reese Witherspoon had a very important role in this movie, to which she strongly showcased her wonderful acting abilities. The West Memphis case has been a very aggravating case. I watched many videos about the actual case, Witherspoon played her role to a tee. The scene where the boys are found does have a graphic nature for mature audiences. I give this movie a 10/10. Damian elchols, Jesse misskelly, and Jason Baldwin are innocent. Period.
