The movie's ending did not do justice to the whole story. I believe the ending shows elements of lazy writing and direction. This movie could have been better if more effort had been put into the ending rather than presenting a pessimistic conclusion that disappoints the audience. Overall, the movie is engaging and takes the audience on an emotional roller coaster. Pratik Gandhi did a fabulous job acting as a common helpless man. Acting: 10/10 Casting: 10/10 Direction: 7/10 Story: 6.5/10 Final conclusion: This movie had great potential. It's a one-time watch, and I recommend the audience to watch it.

A character in a situation. As the story progresses the character becomes stronger, naivity goes off and is ready to fight. Apart from the climax, there's many issues like dowry, girl getting married off early, incompetent bridegroom, all glorified, for no reason. Apart from a common man's story, there's no takeaway. All actors have done their roles pretty well. Khusalli Kumar could have easily done better with less make up. Milieu and setup looks good, director has done everything right, except the script. Prateek Gandhi is getting stronger with every film and carries the film from beginning to end. All in all, a one time watch, with disappointment.

Hats off to the writer!! What a movie. The end was unexpected but this is what happens in real world and the credit goes to the writer who has guts for showing it!! The direction was also very good, the screenwriting was also top notch, and the best part of the movie was the acting of the actors, prateek gandhi literally nailed it!!! Even the character of her wife was also very good. Some more important dialogues to her can be more good. The police man character was perfectly written and thw acting was also good, It literally makes me hate it. Overall the movie was a must one time watch!!!!!!!

Such a negative movie. What's happening to hindi cinema? Are they just trying to portray negativity in the society? Acting of lead action was good but seems like he is just getting bad movies. Seems like the budget of the movie ran out and director decided to end the movie abruptly. There was some potential in the plot after the first half but the director decided to lose it all. Side actors were ok, not given proper dialog. They could have added another 20-30 mins to the movie and gave it a positive ending. No one likes to come of of theater with full of misery, cinema is for entertainment and inspiration.

Dedh bigha zameen is a family drama film directed by pulkit. The writing on this film is very good. The plot is nit new to us, but the way the characters and the events take place slowly gives us the time to contemplate about the condition of middle class in this society. This is a highly social and culturally rooted film. The hinterlands of UP is authentically set up. The performances by the cast is commendable. Pratik gandhi is superb as the bread earner of the family. His expressions are tangible andhis distress is clearly felt. The rest of the cast is good. But the problem is that the emotions are off. Nothing can be felt for the characters. The events are taking place one by one but not one iota of emotion is felt. We have sympathy for them, but nothing more than that. The music is good, the songs are melodious and soothing. See, this is a highly real film, with little to no over drama. It portrays how a middle class person sees the world around him, everybody is as nice as him, as humble as him.

Although there was nothing new in the storyline or theme, however, the acting of the cast kept me engaged but was totally disconnected from the movie after the climax...what a shame. I was hoping for some unseen twist in the story or the power of unusual thinking of a common man, and what he can do in such situations, rather Prateek Gandhi's character was depicted as a really weak common man. The movie appears as if there is a lesson to the audience not to mess with the people with power. I actually felt that a corrupt politician or a top builder had funded this movie as a message to the common man... not to mess with us..otherwise, there was no point in such a story and a climax. In the world of technology, media, twitter, or even finding the right people in the opposition party, Prateek Gandhi's character absolutely did nothing, just portrayed himself as a weak personality. This movie is a disaster in a way, as all characters are shown mediocre in a way, like broker..who was not good at his job, a lawyer who is neither likeable, nor humorous, or good at his work, sister..average girl with no ambitions and who just wants to get married to anyone, a wife...who is just agreeing to her husband decisions without questioning much, mother was completely non-existent, Prateek's best friend...not sure if he was even given any dialogues.. no portrayal of any great friendship/loyalty. I am actually angry after watching this movie, as all the actors did ok acting but such a weak storyline gave me just a depressing feeling. I wish at least the movie had some good dialogues to remember. Where the internet is flooded with such high quality, creative content, not sure why such an old, storyline was selected to make a movie. I felt like I was watching some old movie in 70's and 80's. Will not recommend anyone to watch this movie, especially on weekends unless they intentionally want to spoil their mood.

Depicted the cold heart reality of our society. A perfect role played by Brilliant actor prateek Gandhi. All characters player their part perfectly. I guess the main point of writer was to provoke the thoughts of common man. A common man must come out from screen and see the real society around Us. Hats off to all the people involved in the movie. It's a story about piece of land and the mafia of land roam around on the back of our flawed system. If you feel helpless after watching the movie, just try to imagine what you would feel if something like that happen in our real life. Atleast he has an advocate relaive, many of us don't even have that.

Prateek Gandhi was key driver to swich this movie without gone through any trailer and review on social media platforms. Movie length is adequate and storyline also very tight. No non scence songs and comedy sequences inserted. Issue of climax of movie, no one would anticipate such ending. Although if we compare it with real life scenario then this is bitter truth. Overall, "Dedh Bigha Zameen" is a thought-provoking and emotionally resonant film that successfully combines strong performances, adept direction, and compelling storytelling to highlight critical social issues. It is a must-watch for those interested in socially relevant cinema that goes beyond mere entertainment to provoke thought and discussion.
