There's too much to say about this film- besides that it's smart, insightful, amazingly well produced, and has a funny gem in every single minute- so I'll just say don't miss it. The more you've paid attention to the world, the funnier and more believable it is.

A great laugh out loud dark comedy, with a deeper reflection on current issue brought to life through great writing and acting, but kept light with great gags. Would recommend for date night.

A very well thought out and funny film. Dark comedy wrapped up in the relevance of today. I highly recommend it to anyone, is a great glimpse into the inner working of British humour.

I've been trading crypto for about three years and I saw the coverage this movie got in the Mail Online (UK tabloid). The film-makers were harrassed by some crypto trolls for making a film about Satoshi Nakamoto. So my interest was piqued. The movies has an interesting take on cryptocurrency and is ultimately supportive of it. There is documented evidence of the US government trying to control or influence Bitcoin so it is not far-fetched and the idea that worldwide adoption of cryptocurrency could weaken or destroy central banks is also not far-fetched. If you're into crypto and you have a sense of humour, you'll get this film. If you're some sort of crypto evangelist, maybe you won't get it. The deeper themes are also important and tie in nicely to the crypto theme. One moment brought a tear to my eye, which was where George and Martin come together at the end.

If you have a dark sense of humor, I predict that you will like this film. If you don't, you'll probably find the sex language and social commentary difficult, maybe even offensive. Luckily, I like dark humor! This film has hints of other dark comedies that I dig like Burn After Reading or the British film Down Terrace, or even some tones of Alexander Payne.

I loved this film - It's deliciously darkly funny and switches from deep and meaningful to crazy mad!
It's current and topical and really gets into the thick of a lot of social issues without bogging the film down.
The crypto angle is very refreshing and unique.
Bravo!!

The trailer for this movie is a bit misleading. The film is definitely a riot, I laughed out loud at least a dozen times. But the theme of honesty is really powerful. There are some scenes that really stuck with me, like when George and Martin are discussing immigration or the Sofia character is talking about her gender. They really hit me in the gut - I wasn't expecting that. What also amazed me was how much I felt for characters that I initially thought were really hateful individuals (thinking of Buck or George here). A very original screenplay and wonderfully directed with a perfect cast. The Bitcoin angle did not interest me as much as it would some other people - hence 8/10 instead of 10/10.

Decrypted is a riot. I don't think I'm giving anything away by saying it's an NSA mission to take down bitcoin that goes horribly wrong. That's in the synopsis all over the place. But it's so much more than that. You've got all these kind of twisted characters who are forced to come clean about their prejudices and discuss them. Exactly what isn't happening in the world right now. But it's no done in any kind of preachy way. It's constantly entertaining and really funny. I laughed out loud seven or eight times. And I was in a bad mood when I sat down to watch it. Brilliant stuff.
