Yes, I agree. The production values are not the best and the direction is certainly not the best. I had the impression and I may be wrong because I like these actors so much that they could have done a better job of acting if the direction had been better. But all in all, I really enjoyed this little movie. The young female lead did a really good job of acting in a lackluster environment and the young male lead, I felt was uneven in his performance but shows a propensity to improve immensely. I enjoyed the storyline especially the scene where Chris manages to heal estrangement in Meridith's family. All and all, I'm happy that I had the chance to see it,

One does not usually expect much from a soap-operish Christmas movie other than kill some time and escape reality. This movie did not achieve even that. The plot is the usual boy girl meet and fall in love in a few days. We know that so there are no expectations, no surprises in that department. On top of that, the acting is so bad that it cannot save Ana equally terribly written script. The lines are empty, filled with "really?", "do you think so?" "whys" asked in the most awkward situations. The delivery of the lines is free of feeling, free of meaning. Amateurs? After writing my review I think the four stars I gave it are too generous.

OMG!!!! Can I say that this is by far, the stupidest movie I have ever watched? Firstly, the acting was so stiff and unnatural. The story, or at least, the synopsis got my attention and my hopes up. I don't know these Lifetime or Hallmark actors. I just know that year after year, I enjoy binging on Christmas movies and most of them are great and I ended up smiling ear to ear by the end of the story. This one did not do that for me, not even a bit. That kiss that always happens at the end? Good grief!!! The writer/director has no clue what a love scene should look like. Are they celibate? With a nickname like Candy Cain, you'd think there's be more imagination but there was nothing. It was just straight reading of their lines, or memorizing by rote, without real feeling, all the way through to the end. Hated this one. Gave it a three only because I got sucked in by the synotpsis.

This movie is mediocre at best. It is paved with good intentions. What caused me to actually write a review was the music. Song after song was an assault on my ears. I thought it was just the first song and then the second one arrived sung by a different artist and lo and behold the third one arrived like a strike-out. I saw this on YouTube listed as a Hallmark movie, but it didn't meet the standard by a long shot. But, as I said, the intentions were there. But the script was wooden, the actors didn't have a chance to shine. I don't know if they would or not, but it was dead in the water. Btw, with the earlier review, the author mentioned that girls don't get Bar Mitzvah'ed but this was clearly identified as a Bat Mitzvah, which is for girls at 12.

If you've ever seen the masterpiece that is the envy of the modern world, The Room by Tommy Wiseau... then boy howdy this is just one itsy bitsy step up from that. No tuxedos throwing a football in a ally, but you do get the blue light special. (Lame decorations) Take all the bad shots and acting and *boom*, reminded me of Birdemic. To put it another way, I cannot wait for Rifftrax to riff this one! Best actor: Robert Picardo (however, I half expected him to walk up to the decorations girl and say "the I. O. A. Have been... concerned with your performance") If you need background noise, this should be in the list somewhere, but I hope your doing dishes or laundry.

This is a great Christmas movie about a guy overwhelmed by planning his family's holiday festivities who hires an independent woman with an entrepreneurial spirit that runs her own event planning company. She decorates, plans, cooks and created the PERFECT Christmas for the guy and his family, so he, of course, falls head-over-heels for her. There are a few surprises in the story, but it's still warm and fuzzy and has that predictable "happily ever after" ending that we all look for in these kinds of movies. Ashley Brinkman, Robert Picardo and Al Sapienza are the standouts of this film. I can watch it over and over again. Great little movie!! Highly recommend!

Overall it is a cute story but the acting is stilted, the dialogue way to predictable and the snow keeps disappearing. One night several inches falls yet in the morning there isn't the slightest trace of snow. It's not a bad way to spend an hour or so but don't expect anything great.
