On the same theme i would recommend the dutch movie "Temmink". I fear there is even a similarity close to plagiarism....http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0133228/. This one is better though. Mainly thanks to famous actor Jack Wouterse. It's harsh. It's brutal. And it spends more time and attention to the main character's doubts, thoughts and choices. Worthwhile, if you like this sequel of death race. Starring also Jacob Derwig. He could easily start a career in the US. And note the very tasteful depiction of the inevitable violence. As i'm forced to write a minimum of 10 lines, I'd finally say: Viva Holanda!

This movie is one hell of a ride from the beginning when we meet our main character to the end where he becomes Frankenstein, to the gorgeous navigator to the Savagery of the Death Match to the birth of this new type of combat from Goldstein and Lists (who I thought for longer than I should of thought his name was lisps) this movie sets up everything you want if you want more of the murder and deadly Death Race while setting up the legend that is Frankenstein which in the 3 movie is compounded on the legend, and the cruel but honest and fair business man of Weyland. And all of it compounding on Luke his family tiring to kill him the other drivers trying to kill him and the crazy host trying to make a quick buck off of him.

I gave it a 6 out of 10. It's not great but still a watchable film that you'll enjoy. I've watched Death Race before watching this second film. I personally feel a bit boring watching this film. They have many similarities and it made me feel like I was watching Death Race the second time. It has okay actions, okay drama and acceptable storyline. The main role in Death Race, Jason Statham, was replaced. I personally think that Jason Statham would do better in this film. I'm his fan, though. Overall, not bad. If you've watched Death Race(2008), you won't enjoy it much. If you haven't, it may be a really good film with great ideas for you to enjoy. Pure actions, not bad overall. 6/10.

Comical idiocy made by imbeciles for imbeciles milking pockets of frustrating parents

I was not expecting a lot until I read the reviews. And I have to admit that I was not disappointed. This prequel is very good for a direct-to-DVD movie, in fact, I have seen a lot of movies that are a lot worse. The main character is quite interesting and the actor (Luke Goss) is very good. The girls are quite pretty! (Yes, I know, I a man!) but there some show for the woman too. Except of course that it is violent, there's blood... And a real pleasure to see Sean Bean (Eddart Stark in Games Of Thrones) in an another role. Although there may be a pattern here... Worth the viewing. You won't be disappointed if you liked Death Race... AragornBauer

First off, I'm not sure how anyone could like this movie. Aside from the * all through the flick, there is nothing to like. Horrible acting, poor miss calculated fight scenes where its ridiculously clear right from the first fight that their are not hitting each other. The way I see it is I feel I have to review this movie. This movie went right to DVD simply because if they charged people money to see this movie, the viewers would have set the place on fire. Do not buy this movie, seriously. Stare at the cover for an hour, it will be much more fulfilling.
