I really enjoyed this movie. From start to end. If True Romance is one of your top movies, you will experience nice flashbacks. My two favorite things are the Soundtrack (specifically Zaz - Eblouie Par La Nuit) and the wonderfully Script played by both Noomi Rapace and Collin Farrell. The connection between their dark characters takes you to an almost impossible final climax. The movie successfully proves that, in fact, "Even the most damaged heart can be mended". Congrats to the cast & crew!

Review: I watched this movie with my friend and we both didn't understand what the hell was going on. When the plot does all come together, it just ends up being an average film with a sketchy plot. The director didn't do a good job with putting the storyline together because there was 3 plots running at the same time which made the film annoying. The acting is what you expect from Colin Farrell and Terence Howard and like many other films nowadays, you have the Eastern Europeans as the baddies. The showdown at the end was unbelievable and quite bad, after a 2 hour build up, and the love story didn't have to be in it. On the plus side, you do end up sticking with the film just to see how it pans out but that's about it. Average! Round-Up: I did expect this movie to be much better after seeing the write ups from the critics, but there are a lot of question marks with the storyline. I'm glad that they chose Terence Howard as the baddie because he always plays the same type of roles, but the script let him down. The other thing that was amusing is that the characters are walking around New York with guns in the broad daylight without a peep from anyone and people are hanging off of buildings shooting people and no one says a word. Very unrealistic! Maybe I'm being over critical, but there just wasn't any thought into some of the scenes. In all, if you don't take it too seriously, it's watchable. Budget: N/A Worldwide Gross: $18million I recommend this movie to people who are into there mindless thrillers with some action and a touch of suspense. 3/10

I am surprised more people are not excited about this film. This is pretty much European cinema in Hollywood. Great performances from Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace. Great story and an unusual romantic tale. This film takes the gritty world of drugs and gang lords and attempts to tell a tale of revenge and romance. Two immigrants from different worlds, victims of the scourge of modern society, in the same place bent on revenge and a beautiful tale of romance from the pain of loss. This film rarely falls short in any area, it never lost direction or attention to detail at any point. The conclusion was slightly flawed but that's the Hollywood bit of the movie. I can forgive that having seen worse. A masterpiece! Well done! One for the collection...

This movie has exactly the same plot as the Marvel character: It's about the revenge of a father / husband against thugs who have killed his little girl and wife. So it's again a American movie with violence and guns and I'm just fed up with this caveman philosophy. Worst, the original ideas are a bit absurd: the exaggerated trauma from the car crash injury, the useless "french" mother. The movie is only interesting at its start as the plot is still unclear and mysterious. We really feel the touch of the first Millennium director as we don't understand anything and we are thrown in original locations: NYC isn't glamorous here and it's only up in balconies that we can find a bit of peace. The phones calls between the two buildings are iconic moments. Noomi is unsurprisingly great as she is always able to show multiple faces: romantic, abused, crazy, fighter, emotive. At least, she is there because her partner, the so-called Colin Farell makes his usual dead man down: not much reaction, placid all the time...
